Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket.

Ajmal, who recently turned 40, is currently participating in the National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi and says this his last tournament as an off-spin bowler.

“This national event is my last tournament and I don’t want to be a burden on any team,” said Ajmal as quoted by Wisden India. “Before anyone raises a finger against my selection (in domestic matches), I want to leave and that’s my final decision.”

.
we cannot defend him... its shame on PCB behalf..

.
Every star at some point has to fade away

Since spinners don't have great strain on their knees they can technically operate more then fast bowlers however , it depends on person how fit or ambitious they can be

Ajmal will always be remembered for his magic and confident smile while taking on players
The game needs the doosra to make it more balanced game between bat and bowl

To be honest he kind of already retired. Sad to see his career take a turn...
Ajmal was a great player... A magician for sure!
