Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket.
Ajmal, who recently turned 40, is currently participating in the National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi and says this his last tournament as an off-spin bowler.
“This national event is my last tournament and I don’t want to be a burden on any team,” said Ajmal as quoted by Wisden India. “Before anyone raises a finger against my selection (in domestic matches), I want to leave and that’s my final decision.”
