He is playing on 70 not out and seems solid in his approach.

Look like he is going to make his 100th International century today

Lets follow this match until something happens

Phase out seniors - Laxman first, say former players

Senior batsmen like 38-year-old Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid (38) and Laxman (37) have traditionally been India's strength but they have failed to live up to their reputation and calls for infusing more young blood have been gaining ground.

Now they want Sachin to retire, (said by Kapil Dev, I heard on TV), as he didn’t make century and was out on 80 . The Indian cricket team and their selectors (with Kapil Dev) are loser who first lost their both the tests in just 4 days each and now they want to retire the man who scored the most from India during those 2 test matches in Australia.

Sachin was the highest test run scorer in the world in 2010, and was among the top 10 batsmen in test cricket in 2011. And he was also the highest run scorer Indian in world cup 2011, of one day maches, from India and second highest overall in that tournament, around 20 runs short of Dilshan, I remember.

Sachin wasn’t inducted in Indian team in 1989 because he was just 16, but because he was the best available option for the Indian cricket team. so he won’t retire just because he is 38 now. until Indian selectors may find a better batmen than Sachin who may play and score more that Sachin, either in Test matches or in one days, Sachin won't retire. even if Sachin remain in top 3 highest scoring batmen for India for any season, out of total 6 batsmen, he would continue to play even after 50 also
