there's still a large working population in china, when the population gets older and labor is needed then i see some changes by National Development and Reform Commission. of course, if the coming robotic revolution really changes things, then it may not be needed.
Please can we stop with this trope of robotic revolution?
Robotic and Technological revolution has been happening for centuries.
In 1000 AD, over 90% of people were usually involved in agriculture.
Now, in any advanced country, there are barely 1 or 2%.
Technological revolution would only increase quality of labor. But it
would be equal for everyone.
In today's globalized world, technology, capital, and skill is very easily transferable.
Hence, robotics would be available to
everyone.
In the end quantity would matter a lot.
American influence and military bases in Asia isn't going to last forever. I really only give it 30 years more years.
It can last forever, if China doesn't get its act together.
winners write history as always
Here, US
won, because of its soft power. US won german people's support, even most of East Europe's support way before the collapse of Soviet Union.
Countries like Czechoslovakia, Hungary, East Germany, Poland, were already won long before USSR broke down.
