contrary to normal perception in our society, sex education is not teaching kids how to perform coitus.

Of course sex education, but with local sensitivities is very important, young people need to know why their bodies are changing and why they have certain feelings, will reduce the mystery of the opposite sex, this is the 21st Century after all.

If one is planning for sex education in desi schools, then it must be implemented with earnestness and not with some half hearted attempt of complying with government rules.
Its is beacuse of the absence of basic sex education that we have such a a skewed way of sexuality in the sub continent.
**** dvds and ridiculous sex stories are not the best way of "attaining" knowledge. Not everyone can then distinguish a wrong action from a correct one. For these mis guided folks touching a womans boob or pinching a womans *** becomes the highlight of his education.

Teachers must be determined enough to impart knowledge no matter how much jeering or leering goes on in the class. And students themselves too much play along. Slap out the wrong ones!

Sex education is very imp
our indian subcontine people are hypocrat ..
we are in top 5 in population but still cant discuss body scince openly ..
we like our child to be doctor but will not teach basic human science of body...
then people have wrong notion of sex .. lust .. love .. and sexual crime happens ..
in india still we cant digest the same ..

practical problem with teaching system also is that as its sensitive subject . it needs training of teacher or 3rd aprty professional or ngo
which all need will of state and fund .. which both are lacking due to political and socila cause and funds too

better start making their mind since they are old enough to understand basics ,
just like , if one has no money for cigarette , he wont quit smoking , he just find different means to buy it ..
if you dont teach your young generation than , they will find different means to educate themselves ..
