It is heartbreaking to see what has happened in syria, the west loves it, the jews love it.

Assad should have left and tried to allow and facilitate a transition, but he and the alewites have killed too many muslims, They have made this personnel

Same could be said about Bahrain. Since most are Shiites, why does a sunni dynasty allied to KSA rule them? Do they have any right? Would you agree?

Now your point about the west. You bash the west, but don't even mention the muslim countries actively supporting the rebels.

Its now my understanding that many muslims both Shiite and sunnis, but mainly sunnis are severely intellectually deficient.

They are being ruled by opportunists and believe in absolute non-sense and follow it blindly.

This "revolution" only bought destruction and death upon Syrians... Syrians lived in peace and joy, Syrians were the ones who did not have to worry about putting food on the table, everything for life needs were free in Syria, including medication, hospitals, schools and etc.. now this "revolution" comes and makes it halal to rape and kill people because they are somehow different from you, or they have different beliefs or etc... it makes prostitution halal, and what's worse, those calls came from outside Syria... some sick minded "sheikh" made the so called "sexual jihad" fatwa so he can bring more terrorists into Syria, it was a way to persuade terrorists... this is one of the sickest "revolution" (terrorism) humanity will witness...

I've been in Syria twice . I did see the real peace there man , People were happy and had no problem with each other , Alawites , Christians and Sunnis were living together in peace but look at this country now . Some terrorists are paid to destroy the country under the cover of jihad and some crazier ones supporting them .

Actions speak louder than words. Zardari and co said a similar thing that they are against intervention. Doesn't mean anything.

We sent envoys to Syria first from the non-permanent group of UNSC members.

What are you expecting us to do?

Send our military in?

That will contradict our stand in the very first place "No external intervention".

There's a big difference between being elected non-permanent member of UNSC and just any country issuing statements.

We officially made our stand against a NATO intervention and it pissed the Americans off real bad.

In fact, all the BRICS countries stood against invasion of Syria.

india has strong relations with Syria and Iran's enemies in the region.

india has strengthened its defence ties with Saudi in recent years, as well as it has been pushing towards limiting its dependence on Iranian oil at the request of Saudi Arabia in order to isolate Iran and strangle its economy.

See, our ties with KSA, Israel, Iran, Brazil, Chile and any other country on this planet, are BILATERAL.

Let's see what this means:

It means what we have with a country X, stays between India and the country X.

If X has a problem with Y and the fight and Y is also a friend of ours, then we will not participate in the war on behalf of either X or Y and at the most, try to encourage X and Y to solve their problems without a conflict. In such a scenario, we will not be against either but see what can be the best way to solve the problem; or keep out of it altogether.

Wonderful historical country with monumental buildings, friendly people and delicious cuisine.

This is not about having a alewite leader

Its the problem of the muslim population of syria of having no option but to have an alewite leader, why should they be forced to abide by the whims of a dictator and his community

First they are muslims as they believe in pillar of islam and they pray as muslims and ......

Second which arab country is a democracy .

And third the constitition of syria have been changed so other political parties also can compete so why they fear to particate in such democratic process. Isn't it because even according to cia more than 70% of syrian support mr. Assad ?

And forth if allavite are monopolizing syrian political scene then how majority of cabinet is sunni and vice president is also sunni ? Does we have sunni allavite?
