S Arabia to seek same right given to Iran in possible deal

Wow So much hate for SA, and it's so baseless and illogical, saying stuff like Saudis lacking "brainz" and skills.

I assure you, we have the skills and brains.

SA send hundreds of thousands of students each year to study abroad in all fields (including nuclear) in US, China, Japan, and UK. Saudi Arabia ranks 4th in number of students studying in the US after the much more populated countries China, India, and Korea.

Saudi universities are always in top rankings in the Arab world, ME, and near east. No Iranian university even come close to a SA university in both research publication and quality of education.

Unlike Iran who's very dependent on its over-hyped military industrial propaganda to control its people, SA is a peaceful country, focused more on local growth. SA spends most of its money on housing projects, hospitals, higher education institutes, and infrastructure projects.

Some people choose not to see the evolution happening in SA, and keep telling themselves that Saudis lack everything but money, it what keeps them sleeping at night, as SA having BOTH money and "brainz" is too much to bare in terms of fairness.

Same hate and rhetoric directed towards the U.S. branding Americans as "fat" and "lazy," even though America basically control the whole world.

About the Nuclear demands, it's only natural for SA to seek that, as did Pakistan when India developed its nuclear program. The question on why SA didn't have nuclear ambitions earlier is irrelevant, as Iran proved its hostility towards SA and GCC countries by:

1- Aggressive rhetoric towards SA, calling them "Nawaseb" and followers of "Yazid" and that they must be wiped from the face of the earth. (basically same rhetoric directed toward Israel only with few changes)

2- Occupying GCC lands (3 Emirati Islands) which is according the signed GCC agreement is a hostile action against all GCC countries.

3- Spying cells directly linked to the Rev. Guards been dismantled every now and then in GCC countries.

4- Mecca incident where Iranians caused havoc and killed many pilgrims during the 1980s.

Israel, even though an enemy state, have never done 1% of the harm this rogue state did to SA.

So it's only natural for SA to do everything in its power to KEEP the economical and military superiority over Iran.

And yes, when it comes to soldier for soldier comparison, Saudis have proved themselves as one of the fiercest soldiers taking part in conflicts from Chechnya vs the Russians to Afghanistan to Syria and Iraq. Even the stateless Saudis proved challenging to the whole lot of the organized armies of Ira/Iraq/Syria where they're stuck needing air support to further push into more territories.

I really admire your confidence, even though it's really baseless.

SA have showed many times that it can defy the US. Like when it bought ballistic missiles from China or where it gave Obama the cold shoulder numerous times.

Iran is the one begging the 5+1 to ALLOW them to develop their nuclear technology. If you're really that strong and independent why ask in the first place, you couldve just went further without asking for permissions. Iran is all bark and no bite and is on the brink of economical collapse, that's the reason behind the talks, not because they wanted to but because they're running out of money. At a degree which they are ready to allow inspections and delays to their program for the sake of mere survival.
you forgot to mention the amount of drugs sent to saudi by iran and hizb-eblees every year to saudi
and when they sent 52 kg of C4 explosives to makka during hajj.
as much as i hate israel i dont think they would ever do such an attack. but hey iran the "muslim" nation did.
and they killed 100s in their protests during hajj.

and last but not least when political iranian puppets say we will destroy your kaaba we take it seriously

listen carefully to what saud al faisal says at the end.

@قناص

As a matter of interest.

Can you please explain to me how SA is promoting sectarian violence ?

As for Iran, NO they are not promoting sectarian violence , they are practicing it by their own and by their proxies in a large scale since 2003.

As for the topic,

SA as a regional power among others like Turkey and Egypt, has full rights to seek the same rights that are to be given to Iran.

None in this world can prevent Sunni Arab states to seek the same rights NOT a great power nor Int. Comm. nor the so called Int. Law.

Period.
How is it Iran's fault that you guys are killing each other like savages in Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan, Nigeria etc...? There are no shias in those countries, is that also Iran's fault? lol

KSA is a sovereign nation and can do whatever it wants, but the country simply lacks the scientific know how and even the workforce necessary to do the most simple of tasks, let alone create a nuclear program for itself. Out of the 30 million population, 10 million are foreign workers and non-citizens. Out of the remaining 20 million, 10 million are women who, for the most part, are housekeepers and engage in traditional roles like nursing and other simple non technical roles. That leaves 10 million highly unskilled citizens who lack the most basic technical know how to even create the most mediocre of industries.

.
Well no one is stopping KSA from developing its own nuclear infrastructure. Why do they have to wait for the conclusion of the negotiations? As if that is supposed to be some kind of threat. lol

If you are worth your salt, go ahead and develop nuclear industry and dont wait for what others do.

But see, this is not actually about nuclear deal at all. The Saudis will under no circumstances want a deal, because then Iran will be unsanctioned. Thats what they dont want.
This rhetoric about seeking the same right (which no one is denying them to begin with) is just bluster to discourage and disincentive the US from negotiations and reaching a settlement. lol
But once the negotiations are concluded and fait acompli, I think we all can place good bets that Saudi Arabia will chicken out and not seek nuclear weapons (which Iran is not even doing). Heck, I wonder if they will even attempt to construct a single centrifuge.

Obama is the worst American president ever. In his term as a president the world is messed up. A person does his best not to be racist but he has proved that electing a black president was not a good idea. I hope that Americans do not make the same mistake again.

So US and Iran are negotiating, just because their president has more melanin in his skin.

I swear, it should be a crime to be this dumb. lol

How did you draw correlation of being anti-war synonymous with messing up world? And then bringing up race issue as if that has anything to do with it even though he's one of most educated/informed people in world. Did you expect him to go to war for Arab nations just like that? For the next century too? It's about time you guys form independent policy. If you want to counter Iran then form counter ideological revolution or something of that sort. It seems nobody in Arab world(besides Palestinians) has brains to design a strategy.

The ideological revolution option is off the table now that Arab world did everything to overthrow MB. So enjoy what's coming at you. This is all your fault.

Every nation has the right to nukes.... You just have to develop it on your own. There is nothing that prevents any country from opting out of NPT.

I for one hope both Iran an Saudi go nuclear.

.
I do not think so. If Pakistan was to give them, they would have already. According to IAEA, Pakistan actually did give enrichment tech to Iran and Libya but never to Saudi Arabia. It means only one thing, the relationship is not that deep as talked about. Beside, Pakistan wants to come forward as a responsible state in nuclear affairs, so that in future, they can become part of NSG or at least get a waiver as India did. Such a shady deal with Saudi Arabia will kill Pakistan's strategic aspirations.

It is really pathetic, that you are associating someone's skin color with policies.

The reason Pakistan did not provide them with anything is simply they didn't ASK for anything. All this nonsense being projected by CNN and Fox news that Saudi will acquire the bomb when and if Iran acquires it does not make sense in the slightest. The Israel acquisition of Nukes ( the israel that has humiliated arab armies ever since its inception) did not translate into saudi nukes. Their are unnamed saudi officials leaking out stories that if Iran gets it so will we, I would take all this with a pinch of salt.
And kudos to the iranian program whether it is peaceful or not.

Nuclear technology is not bad if applied for constructive purposes to serve humanity

Rest assure Islam IRAN will not be a country that will use Nuclear tech for destructive purposes even if all the world make nuclear bombs.

This separates Iran from rest of the World. when Iran was being bombed with Chemical weapons by saddam, despite capability it never used chemical weapons even once.

Saudi Arabia has money but it lacks skilled manpower. It is not in the same league as Iran which has gained its position through trial by fire of over three decades of isolation, sanctions, existential wars etc.

I can not see any logic to Saudi demands. If non proliferation is the goal Saudis are in for a rude awaking. However if parity in the region is the aim of world powers then it is perfectly possible that Saudis would be given the necessary assistance to aquire nuclear deterrence.
it is not the question of manpower...UAE also does not have any manpower but they are a great market and hence economy now...what you need these days is a good planning and motivation to do something...like Pakistan did...against all odds

I agree regarding your comment about the UAE. They saw that their economy needed to diversify so they used their oil wealth which they knew is a finite resource to set up other economic ventures. You can do this with your economy and Saudi in small ways have done the same.

However atomic weapons programme is a different beast. It is a strategic national enterprise that due to necessity must be kept inhouse and is entirely manned by your own people. The only countries that did it any other ways was the Russians and the Americans who used alongside their own people the captured German scientists.

A programme of this scale needs long term preparation. Saudi like any country can develop an atomic weapon. All they need is will and resolve to ride out the inevitable technical, economic and geopolitical challenges

KSA is most loved nation on the earth...every Pakistani loves KSA the same way they love their own motherland...it is a second home to us...and the same is true for other Islamic nations as well
Do you know that UAE air force have many Pakistani retired pilots ? Air Force is also an national enterprise...but it is possible here
and we are not talking about UAE either...it is KSA...the KSA...although it would be a challenge for them to recruit such professionals...but it is not impossible

.
more than enough money to buy the entire US arsenal but do they have brains to try and split atomic barticles ? :P

All I would say is that outsourcing ones strategic assets to outsiders is ill conceived.

It would certainly be an unique situation if Saudi was to follow this path

as you mentioned earlier that US and Russians were successful...I am only saying that it is possible for KSA more easily...provided that they have will and intelligence to get it done

And they will never ask since their master (USA) will not give them the permission. These fiefdoms are basically the neo-colonies. Nothing more.

Our right to have nuclear technology was not given, its "taken".

Exactly!
