The weakening of the NATO would be a strategic gain for Russia and China as well as a step toward weakening of right-conservative pro-US politics in Turkey since the 1950s. It would also put another dent on the Transatlantic Alliance.

Overall, it is a good development for global peace. Hopefully, Turkey will go ahead with the missile defense system purchase and the US will not compromise.

I am not sure about Turkey, but the US does not seem to have any intention for compromise and let this purchase go through without consequences for Turkey.
