S-300 vs Agile Fighter Jets?

usually when looking at historical events its better to investigate before making statements.

The F-16 shoot down was a fratricide in which the flight lead shot down his wingman as he crossed in front of him with a AIM-9L sidewinder.
Shot down by Wing Commander Amjad Javed - mistakenly shooting down his wingman. Flight Lieutenant Shahid Sikandar Khan ejected safely.btw i heard it was shot from the ground whereas sidewinder is surface to air

Think now that some state has just two divisions of S-300PMU-2 with 48N62E Missiles, that is 8/12 systems each division, each system has usually(for PMU2) 4 ready missiles, that is 16/24x4 = 64/96 fired missiles in 10 minutes, that is in theory 64/96 crashed fighter planes in just 10 minuts.
64/96 Fighters are over 10-20 billions dolars.

That is why NATO is scaried when some state has S-300.
Two days NATO didn't bombarded Serbia because his UAV had seen that Serbia has S-300, but that S-300 was just fake. LOL

The major point is,

If you have an operational S-300 system, you are effectively stopping the offensive capabilities of the enemy and not giving them air superiority. S-300 along with some old SA series systems for point defense+high speed interceptors will do the job.

.
When it comes to S-300 you should keep in mind that there are two completely different systems that are called S-300: S-300V and S-300P. Most exported and famous is S-300P version.

S-300P has many very different modifications:

S-300P (1978) - 5V55K missile, 47 km range.
S-300PS (1983) - 5V55R missile, 75 km range.
S-300PMU1 (1993) - 4N6E missile, 150 km range.
S-300PMU2 (1997) - 4N6E2 missile, 200 km range.

S-400 is modified S-300PMU2.

Now when it comes to range most important thing to remember is that in order to guide missile this guidance radar must be in line of sight with the plane:

If plane is hidden by horizon or some mountain it wont be able to guide it. For example if plane is flying at 50 m altitude over a plain, then S-300 wont be able to hit it beyond some 25-30 km.

S-300 system should use a low level defense system like Panitser or likewise IMO. Then it will be a unbeatable combo. What is our experts view on this.

Nothing is unbeatable, what you are suggesting isn't new. SAM sites typically have layers of protection, from long range systems like the S-300 enhanced by short range quick reaction systems like SA-3, Rolland and AAA.

There are plenty means now to take out S-300 safely:

Yeah nothing is unbeatable. So do you think that S-300 won't be effective as it's specs suggest?

A Valid Question, Can S-300PMU can shoot down MKI, does it has capability to identify friend and foe, when they are engaged in dog fight over the covered area, can anyone put more info on this.

I will bet on Pantser for S-300 defense. What do you think?

During last 3 strikes in Syria Pantsyr was not a big success. Hope u did no bet too much money.

Are you sure that Pantsyr was defending the skies of attacked areas? Or what kind of attack had IDF carried out?

Let say you have two enemy airfields one protected by the S-300 the other only by AAA. The destruction of both targets have the same military value. Which one will you pick if you were given a choice between the two targets? Obviously the airfield with just the AAA. All militaries seek soft(er) targets, and if the airfield protected by the S-300 must be attacked then there are ways to make the S-300 less effective and thereby soften the target. The S-300 can be defeated but it will take greater effort, co-ordination, technology (jamming, decoy),tactics and skill. The S-300 like other similar systems have a limited supply of missiles ready to launch. Once this supply is exhausted in a failed attempt to discourage the enemy the S-300 is defeated.

For good reasons, there was a NATO exercise in 2011, where they tested different SEAD fighters and EW aircrafts against a Slovakian S-300 system. It is said that only Rafale was able to get out of the exercise unharmed. That's also why NATO and Israel are concerned about Syria getting more, or even more advanced Russian systems.

Most of the Syrian SAMs are concentrated around Damascus:

Syria bought 36 Pantsyrs, so at least some 18 of them must be around Damascus.
