Rumors also says that we have Tu-22 since years, but strangely nobody has seen them so far. There are a lot of stories and we surely know only a bit of what actually happens in the forces behind scenes, but I wouldn't mind an open approach for such systems too. The fact that Syria is known to have a few of S300s in export varients is giving NATO bad dreams, so knowing that India has such systems, surely would be a kind of deterrent against our enemies too.

This is our biggest mistake.

It is not India vs China, Arabs vs Israel and so on -

The only solution to our problems is that we unite. The resources currently deployed for military innovations can be diverted to space exploration.

We need to respect other cultures (no Bollywood babes) and live within our domain while truly contributing towards our success.

Remember when an earthquake strikes - It does not differentiate between a Jew or a Muslim.

Lets unite and stop wasting money on useless military stuff.

S300 is not a secret weapon that India need to hide so I dnt believe these rumors.

Main question remains same.. why India not gone for system like this we all know that DRDO SAM still need 6-7 year to completely develop.

Oh please, with the amount of money China is pumping into R&D (an example that India can follow), it definitely sees the advantages of pursuing an indigenous route while saving foreign exchange and using it to buy more homegrown stuff. The days of China reverse-engineering things are definitely over. People forget....sometimes you need to crouch and stoop low in order to jump high.

And not only that, India had always stayed non Aligned in its foreign policy throughout its years and it was one thing which was hated the most by west..Everytime the west comes up with some deal to please India and bring it under its bellies, the west got a mouthful of you know what I mean..
It has always been like this and even in the future it will be like this..India Never stays in anyone's columns and will never be braced up against china for that matter..
It doesn;t mean that, India will not go up against china, it just means that even if it goes against china for some reason it will not be for west..
That much India respects Chinese or any other country's sovereignty for that matter..
Be it Iran, be it china, Be it Russia, India will have its own stand and will definitely not follow the west..
Stronger china definitely is in our better interests, yet a less hostile stand off could be way more pleasing..

S400 is a weapon on defense end, it won't be surprised if Russia sell it to both China and India.

The Current dispensation you mean the BJP you do know that Mr Modi who is our current Prime Minister was banned from entering any western country until recently when he became Prime Minister.

LOL. Every nation has a FP that is best suited to its needs. Be in India, china or japan. There is nothing special about it.

Instead of going personal, prove that Congress is not Russia leaning and the current dispensation is NOT west's darling..

CONgress of late was more west leaning. As for the present Modi govt. you are free to live with your own delusions. I don't see why I have to prove anything.
