Russian Su-35 Lost Against J-16 and J-10 in an Air combat

https://defense-studies.blogspot.com/2020/05/russian-su-35-lost-against-j-16-and-j.html?m=1

Chinese military experts praised the Russian Su-35, but said it was unsuitable for air combat. Russia may start supplying another batch of Su-35 fighters to the PRC, although experts from the PRC said that the Russian combat aircraft could not show its best side during testing during simulated aerial combat, since it lost the battle to the Chinese J-16. and J-10. The Su-35 was put on combat duty of the Chinese Air Force in one year and has already formed combat strength, as well as completed escort tasks for the H-6K and flew around the island of Taiwan. According to Sina Military, to make up for the shortage of fighters, China decided to purchase a batch of Su-35. However, the fighter has flaws, and its avionics system is not very developed, so it is completely devoid of perspectives.
According to Sina Military, a Russian combat aircraft is equipped with an advanced passive electronic scanning radar, it receives the position of the target by picking up electromagnetic waves emitted by the target, but it is not able to quickly measure the distance, and it will need several sensors to obtain accurate data.

The Chinese J-16 and J-10C are equipped with a modern electronic scanning radar, which is the reason for the uselessness of the Russian Su-35, the newspaper notes. As stated in the publication, the J-16 and J-10C can take advantage of the radar to destroy the Su-35.
Sina Military" emphasizes that the Chinese army has a large number of J-11 fighters that can be modernized, and therefore improving the J-11B by the Chinese Air Force may be more practical than the introduction of the Su-35, "the authors of the publication said, writes avia.pro.

It is known that China does not exclude the acquisition of another batch of Russian 4 ++ generation fighters, but they will conclude the contract only at an acceptable cost.

Why is China buying su-35s when its domestic products are superior? this seems like propaganda on a blogpost.

Its not propaganda, China gains a fair bit by buying Russian systems. Actually, we have known for a while that Russian systems are inferior to Chinese, atleast, aircraft and missiles.

Here is an old report on the SU-35 and what China gains from the purchase of them:

Hi,

China needed numbers---that is what the SU35 has brought in---pitched it against its own aircraft---found the strengths and weaknesses---.

So---possibly may see a new radar in the SU35 ---.

It would have also allowed the chinese to upgrade their J16's---J10C's and J11's as well---.

SU 35 main feature is its manuveralibilty the lack of AESA and not very long range BVR from Russia are major disadvantages

.
The most important thing of a fighter aircraft is the electronic system. The SU-35 is inferior to the J-10 and J-16 because of the electronics and the radar, not the engine.

The Chinese should consider getting the Su-57 if another batch of Russian fighters need to be procured, but only if the new Izdeliye-30 engines are being used. Besides numbers, Developing the all important engines are a known top priority project. Considering the Russians know what is really going on, The Chinese might as well find Russian engine development and have an agreement to sell the fighters once the engines are ready.

The Su-57 could also be a good aircraft to study in the PLANAF effort to develop a carrier borne fighter.

I'm sure China will buy Su-57 in future. 90% sure bet. But we are going to wait until Russian airforce already operate many units just like we bought Su-35 after Russian airforce already operated for many years. This way we are sure they at least in the same position and deliver a weapon they are satisified with. In fact many times Chinese own development weapons for navy, missiles, planes whatever always get rejected by PLA. Very few developments actually meets PLA satisfaction and requirements. Same with fighter to spend this much money, Su-57's most interesting feature will be Type 30 engines. They will not sell hunter drone probably and their philosophy will be very interesting and definitely worth a few billions in purchase. Anyway can be useful like today's Su-35 is still useful for PLAAF to guard borders without presenting main airforce abilities for noticing by enemies.

Pardon, but why here in the PAF section?

Results of aerial battles in exercises of PLAAF Su-35s against PLAAF J-16s and J-10Cs belong at best into the PLAAF section. Here it is completely irrelevant.

.
This thread is very pertinent to the PAF. As PAF has shown serious interest in the su 35.
On top of that the su 35 brigade who have made it out to be some super duper out of this world a.c. also need to read and see the reality of things.

No, it is nothing but a fan-boy thread stimulating hopes and again these non-sense discussions, China should sell the PAF its Flankers, at best for free.
