Russian Su-24 rescued pilot first interview

. .
From NATO announcement

Q (CNN):
The Russians are saying the plane was shot down over Syrian territory and never went into Turkish territory. Are you convinced that it was shot down indeed over Turkish airspace and that Turkish airspace was indeed violate?

Secretary General: TheAllied assessments we have got from several Allies during the day are consistent with information we have been provided with from Turkey. So the information we have from other Allies is consistent with what we have got from Turkey.

This interview is a joke...

Why not showing face of pilot?
The press reporters all look like serving service man...look at their clothes...

Russia wont go into any war with Turkey.. and that was expected but their resolve just got stronger with this incident and expect more bombardment with greater instensity.. Also this incident finishes any more chances of Turkey playing this card again for future Russian aerial missions...now even if Russian plane ventures inside Turky, they will be compelled to go soft on them and it mght end up intercet and escort instead of a hit. my 2 cents

.
The Turkish are lying. and its true the Su-24 is hit at the back. A well co ordinate plan by Turkish to kill the Su-24.
Don't trust Russians, they are like Serbians, they lie and lie to save their face.

Operational and Personal Security. If they wish to conceal his face, they can do so.

There will be no war between the two, but the atmosphere is very tense.

In Russian version it is even more funny:

Two separate soundtracks when "journos" asking and when "pilot" replies.

Question (from the video): Turkish F-16's said that they issued you multiple warnings..."how did it happen in REAL LIFE".!!! :yahoo:
So the person asking the question is ALREADY telling him to be biased about the response by asking for a "real life" explanation.

And a Russian soldier is to be expected to speak against the Russian tactics? What's he supposed to say "well, we know the area very well, we've been going into Turkish airspace for weeks now"!!

The bottom line is, to be fair to the situation, no one would want to mess with the US or the Russians. So to think the Turkish were on some power trip is stupid. The fact is that the Russians have been violating their airspace for a while. This was the time to stop those violations. The result is, that since yesterday, all Russian aircraft have started to respect the 10KM buffer zone. Had that been happening, no one would've lost a plane or a pilot!!

lol, another cut and paste job brought to you by RT.

Notice when the "journo" ask their question, there are background wind noise on the audio track. And when the "Pilot" answer their question, suddenly the wind noise is gone..........

They are using a shotgun mic, the track should pick up background noise...The audio track is a cut and paste job. The audio track of the "pilot" is done in a sound proof environment, probably from a box mic (with noise neutralising function)

The navigator of the Russian Su-24 shot down by a Turkish fighter jet on Tuesday insists that his plane did not cross into Turkey’s airspace, and says he was given no visual or radio warning before being fired at.

“It’s impossible that we violated their airspace even for a second,” Konstantin Murakhtin told Russia’s Rossiya 1 channel. “We were flying at an altitude of 6,000 meters in completely clear weather, and I had total control of our flight path throughout.”

As well as denying Ankara’s assertions that the plane was in Turkey’s airspace, Murakhtin also refuted Turkish officials’ claims that the pilots were warned repeatedly.

“In actual fact there were no warnings at all. Neither through the radio, nor visually, so we did not at any point adjust our course. You need to understand the difference in speed between a tactical bomber like a Su-24, and that of the F16. If they wanted to warn us, they could have sat on our wing,” said Murakhtin, who is currently recuperating at Russia’s airbase in Latakia, northern Syria.

“As it was, the missile hit the back of our plane out of nowhere. We didn’t even have time to make an evasive maneuver.”

The 39-year-old airman, who won the Top Navigator award at Russia’s biggest military flying competition last year, says he will ask to return to front-line service as soon as he is declared fit.

“I must ‘pay back’ the debt for my captain,” said Murakhtin.
