Conversely, If you are non Indonesian (as citizen, not race) and use „your countrymen“ when talking to me as an Indonesian to call out other indonesian members, the use of that word would have been correct.

It is true that there is no rule for a person to hate China in order in order to be Indonesian. Instead of licking US 4ss, you can lick Chinese 4ss all you want.

But in order to be an Indonesian, you have to submit to Pancasila and UUD 45 which stipulates that you are loyal only to Indonesia and that you are as Indonesian as me. So we are back to my question. Why are you using „your countrymen“ when talking to me to call out other Indonesian members when you are supposed to be an Indonesian as well?

Your world view is too narrow if you think that anyone that disagrees with China must hate China and Chinese. Ask Indos for example about how many times I disagree with his tendencies towards islamic Indonesia, do I hate him? Not at all.

I think they are entitled to their opinion, but if your question is about supporting HK secession is against Indonesian government stance to one china one policy or not, then yes. Indonesia supports one china policy, that one is pretty clear. I also think that supporting secession is the least thing we should do since Indonesia still has its own secessionist issues. Still, I think that China should be able to find peaceful solution to HK problem. Too many stakes are being hanged in the balance if the protests in HK are turning bad.

Every country has its dark history. I tend to not to pay too much attention in what is happening outside of Indonesia as long it does not affect Indonesia. We still have issues with Papua and we need to pay attention to that first than what is happening in HK. I mean if we want to keep Papua from being a playground of big powers geopolitics, we might want to be friends with as many countries as possible so that we will have a stronger claim. Regarding HK, let China deal with that, China wants to keep HK as part of its country so China has to resolve it by one or other means. The same goes for Papua, Indonesia should not heed to too much noise coming from other countries and solve it by one mean or the other.
