Top5s is awesome, I subscribed to his channel when he had approximately 247000 subscribers and now he has over 1 million.

yeah i read about it a few year ago
there was no evidence that it was actually executed
Since most of files were burned after Soviet dissolution
no one can say This was executed let alone by under a KGB official
plus the constituents of gas has never been discovered
there was no official claim or media leaking but an american source
which at that time would have gone to infinity to make ruskies look bad
however due to burning of files after soviet dissolution it can not be verified

On a personal note, not entirely connected to the OP:

In case you are wondering about my short temper and irritability, as well as the remarkably shallow posts, I must explain in partial self-defence that I suffer from a sleep deprivation syndrome known as OSA.

It is a killer. The quality of my life is seriously affected :D. I can't look at a computer screen for too long, without falling asleep at the keyboard; some of my posts probably reflect that. I can't drive; I used to love driving, my longest being from Bengaluru to Kolkata on an Ambassador, in two and a half days, not the direct route, but over a road ripped apart by cyclones. I fall asleep at meetings, and during boring presentations, whether by students or by the VC (I remain awake, strangely, for interesting ones). The day is night, the night is day, and I don't get to sleep for more than a few uneasy minutes.

So now you know.

Better sleep at night and have a regular routine, what you are doing is bad for your health, you might die earlier.

I already know that. I am woken from a fitful sleep every two hours or so. Look at my posts for the last twelve hours.

What can I do? I can't sleep, I wake up choking.

Have you tried sleeping pills (medication)? They will get you to fall asleep fast even if you don't want to.

How about hypnosis, if done right it will work.

Do you have some condition that nothing helps?

Might be psychological too, I knew this guy he could only sleep if people were talking loud around him or if tv volume was up. While I myself can't sleep at the smallest sound and need 95% silence to sleep or I wake up.

Looked at your earlier post you seem to have this:

Looks like a physical issue.

OSA is purely physical. I don't know anything that cures it.

OSA is purely physical.

Yeah I see, the real cause seems to be the breathing, not enough air and oxygen while asleep.

If you have the money I would recommend a trip to Turkey, there is a hospital there that has some of the newest surgery options especially for breathing issues. Most of the options are oral surgery and you can go home after just 1-2 days.

I know because I had some breathing issues recently do to smoking, the beginning stage of emphysema (better now) so I was in touch with them and they told me about all their new surgery options which I couldn't find in western countries.

Do give them a call or write an email and tell them your exact problem:

You never know it might be what you're looking for.

These days it's difficult to find a good doctor, you actually need to research (google) and find a doctor that has done successful surgery on your particular illness.

Just googled this for instance, many good results:
"osa success stories"

Remember your only friend to finding a solution is information/knowledge, it won't come to you, you need to go get it yourself even if your motivation is at an all time low do to illness.

Good luck buddy, hope you get well soon

I've no knowledge about your condition. But it you smoke, I can recommend switching over to e-ciggs. I recently made the transition, and it helped me in more ways I could imagine.

The key point I grasped after my transition is that our body already knows what is wrong with it, and how to heal itself from the condition. The only thing that stands in between is our brain. And believe me, there is no better manipulator than our brain.

Sleep is very much critical to brains normal functioning. Most of the brain cell generation & repair takes place during sleeping period. Quite often students get advice to sleep well before exam not only to avoid falling asleep during exam but also for better memory retention.

ppl near north pole might be good candidates for such exp as they have sunshine for longer period of time. Studying plants in those region might well shed light on physiological effect which will be helpful.

Thank you, but I stopped smoking in 1980.
