If depends on BVR or WVR, depends on the TRW of the JF17's engine. LCA will feel very difficult to deal with JF17 in WVR if LCA doesn't take out JF17 in BVR since JF17 has better arerodynamic fuselage.

I think India ismoving away from Russia for military tech and diversifying to Israel France and USA with big ephasis on sharing technology. If India pulls out of pak fa the repercussions are huge for Russian future arms exports. Russia needs India to keep their crediblity in the market.
