I think with India pushing away from Russia and Please dont post time wasted links of cooperation this is bound to happened Trio China /Russia/Pakistan as Pakistan provides such huge advantages to China/Russia .Imagine US sitting in Afghanistan and both China /Russia has Naval bases in Gwadar .

From a port visit, Imagination has no bounds, especially when the visit is after a multilateral exercise with India included.

Here i think its more about the timing of the naval squadron visit which is giving out signal not only to the international powers but even the regional powers.
