Russian Lun - 350 tons ground effect ship

. .
I think it may be meant for anti aircraft carrier role since it carries 6 sunburn missiles.

. . .
So russians dont have lun now?did they lose it in afghan war?
I mean when was Lun project retired?

i have also asked lot of questions regarding russian lun.. guess who deleted them :P

By the ways this Lun reminds me of an ambitious russian spcace project where the space shuttle was suppose to re enter and exit the earth atmosphere from space couple of times in one fligh..instead of just one time like in US space program... ny one have ny idea? or link?
i am sure i hv watched its documentry on history or nat geo.. but could not find any link :(

Well to be honest i think russians are very innovative ppl.. some of their projects which now a days lies in scrap are really pretty good concepts.

Necessity is the mother of all inventions. When your opponent is bigger and richer than you that's what happens.

Afghanistan is the place where every "wana be" looses its manhood. USSR Did, America just did and Indians are about to do. :bunny:

Ya after spending billions of dollars and developing couple of prototypes, they realized it wasn't worth it.
