Russia does not want to give Belarus and Su-30K, which returned from India after ten years of operation. Instead of providing their allies Belarus, the leadership of "Rosoboronexport" has decided to sell them to Vietnam. But in return for them, experts say, Russia could be able to use the Belarusian military airfields.

Yes, Russia already slaps on Chinese faces that made them thinks Russia is not a real friend, real partner to Viet Nam. If you were notice, every time when Viet Nam PMs visit Russia that a time to get deal new weapons, business. Not so long ago, Mr. Putin at his first term came to visit Viet Nam then Russia sold for its 24 Sukhoi 30MK, 6 kilos, and S300PMU-1, S300PMU-2.

This time, Mr Truong Tan Sang came visit Russia, then Putin sells for Viet Nam dirt cheap block of 18 Sukhoi 30MKI (India version) with fully upgrade and up-to-date to meet standard of Viet Nam required. Soon enough, Viet Nam will receiving the very first S400 from Russia.

I dont think its the MKI...India had early version of SU 30 before we did MKI .

According the multiple sources in Viet Nam military, that 18 block of SU will gets fully upgraded to match on the Viet Nam SU30MKV. (Vietnamese) Moreover, this blocks will upgrade kits for hunting submarines . So there will be some difference than the previous SU30MKI Viet Nam has received earlier. (last few months ago)

Good. I have heard of this. It is not in the planned, Vietnam has decided to buy it because of attractive prices.
They are not MKI of the Indian version.
Previously, version for Vietnam is MK2V, not MKI (India) or MKK (for China)...

Just under discussion, not signed.
We have to stop adventure of aggressor in our EZZ.

after upgrading it will be good but we have to see if hte deal is push through Vietnam needs to arm to the teeth as sadly some one making some problems

Good for Vietnam:enjoy:

Maybe after 2-3 years you could consider to upgrade them, we can give you the Tarang RWR system that
is much better than the Russian system offered in the standard kit, we can also upgarde the radar to the
N011M BARS MK-3 standard and if Vietnam acquires BrahMos in future, we can modify the fuselage and
fairings to enable the aircraft to launch the supersonic missile.

The nominal aggregated economy of Viet Nam from 2011-2020 is expecting to be around $2.5 trillion USD. If we spend less than 1% of that on weapon purchase, we still have around $15 billion dollars to modernize our air force and navy.

good job..it'll add more teeth of VPAF..but Vietnam should upgrade it before buying to make this aircraft more capable as this aircrafts are just export version of basic Su-30..they should modified it with powerful radar and missiles..

Can India upgrade those sukhois with N011M radars and our weapons ?? And can we sell it to Vietnam ??
Or the Russians don't provide such freedom to India ??

It seem like we bought 18 Su-30K on Credit again (we're poor and don't have enough hard cash :D), so i think even if you wanna sell but not on Credit, then we can't affort to buy them, too:D
