Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

Thanks Deino

I recommend this book

Thank you because thanks to you I have understood what I had not yet understood about Adolf's madness.

Really, thank you, studying and understanding is one of my passions.

because you talking of peace talks. There won’t be any peace talks. Unrealistic as long as Russians occupation army still be in Ukraine.

Russia’s defense is not unbreakable. Putin running short of men and tanks. The Russians build 5 defense layers with layer 3 and 4 manned with artillery, tanks, and reserves. Before any new offensive Ukraine arny needs to take them down. Also, Ukraine needs to take down Russian aviation.
If Putin is running short, then Ukraine is out of man. What is Ukraine on now, like the 15th mobilization? Ukraine will lose capability to continue the offensive and will be forced to sue for peace.

Utter nonsense.

At most they will stalemate again.
Russia has culminated already and their cruise missile attacks have been less and less successful. If the counteroffensive fails that still leaves russia with little to enforce demands.

This war will not be over easily.

The offensive is politically driven. The West has made it clear that they want an offensive if aid is to continue. My understanding is that Zaluzhny was against it.

The flip side is that if this offensive fails, the West might lose hope and reduce aid to Ukraine. Either way, the West has transferred as much ammunition/weaponry it can from its stocks. There is no more left.
Dont lie. USA has masses of stocks left.

They sent 31 out of 4000 abrams
100 out of 5000 bradleys
0 out of thousands F16.

Europe is having fewer stocks, however is increasing ammo production sixfold and looking to buyback tanks etc. From around the world to continue to donate.

.
As bad as the Bradley pileup was what do we see? That the vast majority of the crews survived. That automatically makes it superior to the Russian slop that sends its crew to Mars after being hit.

Hopefully it’s a good lesson for the Ukrainians.

This is war - and there will be losses. That is the nature of war. You only have too see how many Turkish Leopards were destroyed in Syria, or M1 Abrahams in Iraq to see they do get "destroyed" from time to time. Tanks will be destroyed. Some mistakes will have been made. But - right now - it does not look like Ukraine has made that many mistakes.

The same pictures of destroyed western tanks and vehicles are re-appearing again and again - there is very little "new" footage appearing - suggesting these specific incidents were small and have not been repeated in other areas.

The counter offensive is in an early stage - now that the strategic pause from Ukraine is over following their successes in Kherson and Kharkiv - we will see more terrority liberated from russian occupation.

Ukraine is stronger now, then it was when it reclaimed Kherson and Kharkiv. Russia is relatively speaking, weaker now than it was at that time.

The defences that Russia has built up since, are indeed, formiddable - but they will be overcome. It will cost Ukraine for sure - but that is a known and accepted by all.

The same pictures of 3-4 Leopard tanks is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, and those who are using those images to suggest the offensive has somehow failed, truly do not understand the depth of resourcres that have been put together for this offensive or the level of attrition they are prepared to accept to meet their objectives.

Many more Challengers, Leopards, M1A1 will be destroyed before this over, but if then we have a free independent ukraine that has reclaimed all its land - then it more a price worth paying.

If this was June 1944 we’d all be having a nervous breakdown. It took 2 months for the allies to capture Caen after the DDay landings.

It’s way to early to conclude anything.

Here is the magic question- who lost more armoured vehicles and tanks today. Russia or Ukraine …..

hint : it was Russia ….

No air supremacy, no good tactical options, no surprise element, no big chances for wider success, they should call of offensive before they spent and burn personal and equipment.
You may end the war then.

We all know this counter offensive is coming, this is not a secret, this is also not a tactical mistake, because that is what they need to do, even if this offensive is expected, you would still need to do this, otherwise as I said, you may as well end the war then.

The important issue here is this is a force that raised specifically for this purpose, so as long as the Ukrainian did not degrade their defensive capability, it would be worth the gamble, you can't retake ground without loses, and as far as I see, the Ukrainian loss is not really that high, traditional estimate you will lose 30% of your force if you are an attacker (again, unless you are an Russian), they won't call off their offensive unless they suffer at least 50% casualty.

This is tough, but this is ground reality.
