You don't need to double that number because this is going to be combine arms (well, at least that is what we all thought) and combine arms attack usually apply pressure on weak point, Russia had around 200,000 soldiers along the entire frontline (most likely less than that now, but let's just say that it does), all you do is to find a weak point where the enemy concentration is in their favor and attack there, a gap with 10,000 or 15,000 defender within the entire 1200 km frontline and push thru there, you don't need to pit those mechanised brigade against the entire Russian frontline.

The West don't fight the way Russian do where they take town center, Combine arms operation aims at taking the road leading into the town center and surround/bypass the town. You punch thru the line with your armour and then drop your mechanised infantry to encircle the town, and then you move on.

What people don't realise is, by defending Bakhmut, Ukrainian is saving their own mechanised force, I mean Bakhmut defence is statics and in the business we call them "Low Cost Defence" because you don't need to use IFV, Tank, Artillery or Aircraft much, you simply put troop in a city to grind down the enemy. Yes, the lost would be appalling for Ukraine, but you save the equipment. Which mean beside what the West gave them, now they have another 3 or 4 of their own Mechanised Brigade that can be put into the fight with the newly formed Western Arms brigade. So instead of mostly Western Tank (Leo 1, Leo 2, Challenger 2 and Abrams), you are going to see some T-72 and T-80 in the mix for the upcoming action. With BMP and Bradley/CV90 bringing in the mechanise infantry.
You are to optimistic, this upcoming offensive would be the first for UAF with this size, magnitude and goal and plunging into so called one weak spor is only one factor of determing successfull outcome of given goals, i am pretty sure that russians also have their contingency plans and counterplans, lot of things are on dice for both, but cinicaly speaking all of it could result with good thing and that would be decisive outcome for puting war parties on negotiating table afterwards.

This is not optimistic, this is about operational capability. If this was done by NATO force, we would have use a Battlegroup size force (About a division) instead of 9 to 15 Brigades. The Ukrainian is using 3 times the size I would have use.

The thing about combine arms tactics is that it is very localised, it's not designed for a big force or a bulk force, the more people, equipment and so on you added to the formation hamper your speed and maneuverability, the more the troop, the harder you move, because A would have to wait for B and B would have to wait for C and the daisy chain growth longer the more people involved. That's why you use a highly mobile and highly concentrated force to punch thru holes so you don't have to stay and get bogged down, the key is not to fight Everybody, the key is to attack and then move on, and then rinse and repeat, exploit your enemy, and then move on before your enemy can be redeployed.

If they cannot do that, then Combine Arms doctrine is not for them, and if that is the case, then yes, you would have to double the size for your attack because the Ukrainian would have to attack the Russian head on.

Ich, Putin 5th columnist, cheering for the Pompeo side of Russia destroying Germany.

I cheer for a destroyed US.

The plan:

When the Americans roll out, the Russians roll in. Hence, if you are supportive of Americans rolling out, you have to re-arm first. So the Russians don't roll in. You can't kick out the Americans from Europe without first re-arming. Or Russia is going to be used by the USA to punish Europe for kicking out the Americans.

That is why US urged europe countries to give their weapons to Ukraine instead of moving/giving their own tanks ect. what they have in europe on day one to Ukraine. But on the other side this old military scrap anyway is of no use in future. Also nuclear missiles, even hypersonic, will be of no effect in near future cause get easily destroyed by new weapons.

the captain received legion of merit for exceptionally meritous conduct in the performance of outstanding service as commanding officer
and the medal was for his action from 1987-1989 , now a question for you . what was his action except shooting down a civilian aircraft in that period ?

show a single meritous act of the guy in those two year.
Legion of Merit is not an action or valor medal. It's what we called "Rainbow Salad" medal. you will have one as long as you serve long enough and as long as you don't have any problem.

They are the Staff Officer equivalent of us grunt good conduct medal or MSM for junior officer. You only need to complete an deployment without any misconduct, and you will get it.

Group of Ukrainian mechanized vehicles came under attack by Russian Artillery
than some of those vehicles tried to rescue UKR soldiers than they were KIA.

It is a question of quantity! The russians will most likely send fake missiles and drones first.. the Patriot might simply be overwhelmed before being struck by a real anti-radiation missile..
Maybe they will. But if Russia were able to do that, I guess they would have done it already. If Russia had air superiority invading Ukraine would have been alot easier.

It is the American Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen who sounded the alarm. If someone in the elites of the Deep State can raise this alarm, then there must be some truth to her concerns.
yes Yellen is right. However there is something important. Look, Russia turns to yuan because Russia is sanctioned by the west. Russia is not turning to rubles. What tells you that? The money continues to exist, just in another form, it changes the hand. The US loses a portion of the cake which China now takes it. Russia is a big loser. Russia’s fate is tied to China goodwill.

If you have dollars you can buy goods you like everywhere in the world. But if you have yuan you can only buy Chinese goods. If Xi Jinping is in bad mood, you can’t buy anything.

It has taken a meer 50 billion USD in military assistance to destroy the "reputation of the Red Army".. think about that all - 50 Billion USD..

Imagine if Russia was silly enough to take on NATO ....

.

Well if that's the case, Russia will take Ukraine upto the Dnipro river forming a natural border and then decimate the rest so that it takes decades to rebuild. If NATO wants to play that game, then so can Russia.
Either that, or Russia keeps this war going indefinitely as NATO rules suggest that nations already at war are not allowed to join NATO.

That’s interesting isn’t? Where is the performance for money? Russia army has more money in surplus but Putin’s army seems much a propaganda. Russia army is third rate when fighting a near peer army like Ukraine. Russia military budget before invasion is $65 billion, last year it rises to $73 billion. This year $110 billion.

Putin spends $1.2 billion per year on propaganda and disinformation. Maybe that is the answer why Russia army fails.

Air superiority is irrelevant. These days they use cheap glide bombs outside range of air defense.
