Problem with sending Challenger 2s from the UK is they’d need the main gun changing as it’s the only 120mm in NATO with a rifled barrel to enable it to fire HESH ammunition.

Unless it’s changed over to a Rheinmetall L55 smoothbore like other NATO tanks they will have additional problems with logistics and supply of ammunition. Most factories that produce 120mm rounds for a rifled tank gun no longer exist.

They dont need that much ammo. They will go out in the field, fire off 5 or 10 or 20 rounds and be destroyed. the point is that they need to get there to fire off those rounds and ideally, take some Russians down with them.

Another desperation on the part of NATO countries. It seems the defeat after defeat that the Russian armed forces are delivering in the Donbass have unnerved the EU. We hear everyday such country would deliver these many tanks, artillery, mercenaries, and ammunition. And that is because the West is coping and don't like the news that they're hearing about this war.

But it doesn't matter though as Russia is in war production mode. The victory in the Donbass is foregone conclusion. So instead of hitting their heads against the wall, the Western leaders need to accept this reality.

The Wagner PMC blocked a group of Ukrainian servicemen in one of the five-story buildings in Soledar. They then decided to jump off the building after they refused to surrender to the Wagner PMC. The end result was a disaster.

It is very sad to see the fate of those Ukrainian servicemen. They were poorly led and abandoned by both political and military leaders. These soldiers should haven't been abandoned. They need to stop this idea of holding towns to the last man. The goal of the under-dog is to live, so he can fight in another day.
