Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and its subsidiary Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG are expected to hold an official presentation of fourth-generation MiG-35 fighter jet in January 27.

The delegations from over 20 countries have also confirmed that they will attend an official presentation of fourth-generation MiG-35 fighter jet.

The Russian Mikoyan MiG-35 (NATO reporting name Fulcrum-F) is a 4++ generation jet, which has been created with the use of technical decisions used in the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB aircraft and new advanced technologies.

Main roles of this aircraft is to gain air superiority as well as to perform all-weather precision ground strikes. It can also perform aerial reconnaissance with special equipment.

Serial purchases of Russia's advanced MiG-35 (Fulcrum-F) multirole fighter under the state arms procurement program will begin in 2019, President of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Boris Slyusar said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Slyusar added that a presentation of MiG-35 for potential foreign buyers will be held on January 27.

"The aircraft is included in the state arms procurement program. Its serial purchases will begin in 2019," Slyusar said in a conference call with members of Russia's Military-Industrial Commission.

The MiG-35 is a further development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB fighter jets, featuring improved combat capability and flight performance characteristics.

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for strengthening of the Russian Armed Forces' combat capability, including shortening the time of military units' deployment.
"The significance of ground forces together with the aviation and navy in military conflicts is high. Our task is to provide them with the best hardware, modern equipment and significantly boost their combat capabilities," Putin said.

"Mobility is one of the main indicators of the efficiency of the ground forces during troop transfers for long distances and their fast deployment. We need to increase the time of such activity."

He also said that he hoped the Russian Armed Forces would be significantly reinforced by the new MiG-35 (Fulcrum-F) light multirole fighter.

"First of all I want to congratulate you on this important event, on the start of flight tests of our new light MiG-35 fighter," Putin said during a video conference on the occasion of the beginning of the fighter jet's flight tests.

He added that the new fighter has improved characteristics, is equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry and is capable of tracking from 10 to 30 targets.

"I very much hope that our armed forces will be significantly reinforced by this aircraft," Putin said.

MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. Russia’s most advanced Mikoyan MiG-35 multipurpose fighter jet will be able to use promising types of armaments, including laser weapons, President of Russia’s Aircraft-Building Corporation Yuri Slyusar said on Thursday.

"The fighter aircraft has been specially designed for warfare amid increased intensity conflicts and highly dense air defense. The available high indicators have been achieved thanks to a set of onboard equipment mounted on the plane along with a new optical location system and radar signature reduced by several times," he said.

"We have increased the number of weapons bay points from six to eight, which allows using both current and promising types of airborne destruction means, including laser weapons," he said at a meeting of the military and industrial commission in a report to the Russian president.

All the systems of the MiG-35 aircraft have been developed and produced domestically, including inertial systems and helmet-mounted target designation systems, he added.

"The serial purchases of the aircraft will start in 2019," Slyusar said.

"The plane has its range increased by more than 50% through the larger capacity of internal tanks and the function of air refueling that can be conducted in the mode of a tanker aircraft from planes of the same family," the head of the United Aircraft-Building Corporation said.

The MiG-35 is Russia’s most advanced 4++-generation multifunctional fighter jet developed on the basis of the serial-produced MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 combat aircraft. The plane can develop a speed of 2.23 Mach and its operational radius exceeds the range of its predecessor MiG-29 by 50%

"The onboard radar allows detecting and tracking from 10 to 30 targets at a time at a distance of 160 kilometers," the general designer said during the international presentation of the MiG-35 fighter aircraft.

The MiG-35 is characterized by increased maneuverability and is fitted out with "the optimal set of equipment" while its plane design has been improved, considering the fighter jet’s landing on warships, he added.

The plane’s power unit is a profoundly modernized engine RD-33 of the MK modification, which is characterized by high resistance, including to the impact of weapons, the general designer said.

The MiG-35 is capable of assuming an advantageous position for an attack and will become the most efficient warplane for gaining air supremacy, the general designer of the United Aircraft-Building Corporation said.

Somehow I feel somewhere Russian Designs have stagnated that beyond a point they use one base model to design others. Mig 35 is nothing but an glorified Mig 29. Same goes for Su 30 and 35 which are based on 27's. They need to focus on one or 2 fighters at a time and dedicate all the resources to it for making it cutting edge.

After india has tied its legs with RAFEAL deal and the commision money not distributed properly among, Indian PM and his billionere buddies like ambanis, here comes a great opportunity for PAF to ho ahead with RUSSIAN super tech and get evn 24 of these super birds which can bring the balance in PAFs favour ?

Mig 29 series has had issues. The aluminum lithium alloy used had structural issues. There is a new generation of AL-LI alloys that doesn't have the same issues. Not sure if the Russians are using the newer alloys. PAF can skip it. PN should consider the Flanker series.

Does PN has money in their budget for 24 MiG-35?
Army need s-400 air Defense System which will probably cost around 2.5 billion dollars.

Russian weapon systems have NO HISTORY of SUCCESS AGAINST WESTERN SYSTEMS ANYWHERE EVER. They are simply crap and their sole purpose is to get shot down, or shot up by WESTERN SYSTEMS. Look at how Israel dances around Russian junk in the middle east and shoots them up..

They have no successful track record !!!!! How can anyone waste their money on Junk like the Mig-35... when was the Mig series shot down anything anywhere?? Lots of instances of Migs getting shot down!!! Russian aircraft are cannon fodderm, that is their purpose in life. Pure, and simple.

We now have JF17s shooting down Russian junk..

Yep, losing most modern Israeli F-16 to 50 years old S-200 is a huge success

MIG series never shot down anything, just ask thousand of killed American pilots

And now we have best Twitter jet JF17 scoring its first kills in Twitter battles

US is not letting Russian combat aircrafts compete with its own in the global market by sanctioning countries willing to get some.

You have to remember m8 the Migs of yesterday were competitive with the F-s of then. US tech is much better than Russian tech now.

and western powers always fight against 3rd class military powers,, for example in Iraq they have 2nd/3rd/early 4th class jet against state of art western jets and one poor country against 20 well equipped (state of art) military, if USA/western powers will fight Russia/China then results will be against them, western powers always chose a weak country to test their new weapons @Ali_Baba :crazy::crazy:
