Not really most of ww1 was a stalemate what brought USA into war was unrestricted submarine warfare and the zimmerman telegraph. But usa joining the war basically a jackpot for the allies.

Germany and its allies even before the Americans joined were not doing so good. Ottoman Empire was on the retreat same with Austria-Hungary which has been crippled ever since Brusilov Offensive while Bulgaria cant offer much due to its region. Germany was getting exhausted before the Americans came Kaiserslact was successful but the Germans have all but exhausted themselves to the point where they cant continue the war.

If Americans didn't enter WW1 in 1917 Germany would have won. Britain was on its last legs.

If Germany won the battle of Jutland and destroyed most of the Royal Navy's fleet and then use submarines to fully strangle Britains naval trade routes along with sinking merchant ships. Because if Germany sank most of the British navy's ships then there will be no ships to protect their merchant fleets and trade routes along with supply routes.

Battle of Jutland could have broken Britain but Germany has all but failed in that even if they damage Britains navy along with its presitge it was not enough to cripple the Royal Navy.

Considering that Russia sees Turkey as an important cog in NATO's gear that doesnt seem fully vested in NATO, i think the opposite is at play- Russia wil give Turkey whatever Turkey wants, if Russia believes or thinks that will make Turkey either leave NATO, or trust it less, or make it more endeared towards Russia. If Turkey asks for more S400s, Russia will provide them.

Nobody called Russia to come to syria apart from ***-ad begging for help.

Germans could not beat the British in the seas. We seen how that turned out when Britain blockaded Germany which basically contributed to Germany's defeat.

I have criticized US killing children in Afganistan and Iraq and Pakistan. I have criticized Saudia killing children in Yamen. Now, you clearly seem to be butt hurt by me mentioning the fact that the pig named Assad and Russia are killing children. Atleast US and Saudi have the decency not to cluster bomb and barrel bomb their own citizens. Assad is killing those people whom he was supposed to protect. He is killing people just to save his tyrant regime and it is a fact and whole world knows it. The wort of all criminals.

Most militant opposition to the Syrian Government consisted of 50,000+ foreign Islamist jihadists backed by KSA/Qatar/US/Israel. Not really a "civil war".

Your statement shows as if Syria was attacked by foreign terrorists backed by the said countries. Which is clearly a WRONG statement.
This happened when Assad's forces were already killing people in the streets. How did all this start? People wanted him gone but he started killing them (which is an established fact). What's the next step?? First people taking up arms and then foreign proxies getting a free playground and millions of reasons to recruit new people.

Turkey don't need S-400. Russia can refuse to sell Su-35 to Turkey if they do not leave. Turkey is under sanction by US and EU and China so their F-16 won't last long without spare parts.

Blockade in the long term ruined Germany so bad. If Germany actually won the seas the war most likely could have gone to the Central Powers.

Germany's allies like the Ottomans and Austria-Hungary all depended on Germany to give the decisive blows. Germany may have defeated Russia but the war was not over.

Russia actually quitted ww1 due to the Russian Revolution despite heavy defeats to Germany it was not enough to knock them out especially when Russia had successes against the Ottomans and the Austro-Hungarians.
