Russia’s Stealth Fighter Could Outfly, Outshoot American Jets

But F-35s EODASS and HMDS is quite revolutionary IMO, being able to guide missiles just by look on target is great way to eliminate TVC.
F-22 has limited A2G roles that's they need F-35 for multirole and naval operation.

I know it's great but think of Japan and Australia, got their hopes up and then :

F35 B A/C NAVY VARIANT does have TVC but is only 1D. However the thrust produced is 180KN! It can be used for Viffing like Sea Harrier.

Vectoring nozzles can also be used for Vectoring In Forward Flight or "viffing", e.g. a rapid braking allowing a chasing fighter jet to overtake thus bringing itself into the range of forward firing weapons. Viffing was used to great effect during the Anglo-Argentinian Falklands War, where 28 Royal Navy and 6 RAF jets did not incur any losses in dogfighting against a force of more than 200 Argentine Air Force jets. The Harrier Jump Jets in question were subsequently referred to as 'The Black Death' by the Argentinian pilots. Viffing also allowed a much tighter turn in combat manoeuvres, although there is little evidence to suggest that it was regularly taught to pilots, as the loss of airspeed could make the aircraft vulnerable to attack.

@he-man:
PAK-FAs L-BAND AESA on levcons are for IFF.They are not radar.

No, they are. L band detects deflected stealth radar signature but with poor resolution than x band at long ranges.

Nope.
Have you read the link that i've given you.?

already read that..............am uptodate on pakfa:sniper:

1)Russians made al-41f in 90's and it had thrust of 180kn.........but was way too heavy

2)f-119 thrust is 160 kn

3)yes i am talking about stage 2 engine

4)They use titanium as the composites cannot tolerate heat after speeds of mach 2 and russians want it upto 2.35

they are radars..indeed
and air cooled ones

5)All russian sites give pakfa rcs to be .3-.4m2

Despite of having active array,L-bands are for IFF.
Though there is one tailcone radar in PAK-FA to give complete 360 deg. coverage.

Hiding blade is good for stealth, But it doesn't mean if blade is exposed its not stealth... We have seen F23 and X36 (Boing's) where blades were exposed but stealth was not compramised.

its a universal fact that serpentine intakes>radar blockers for stealth

yes it has some other disadvantages
