i this it is a great opportunity for Pakistan to buy 72 mig-35 or su-35 from Russia
our relations are going to improve with Russia after visit of president zardari and visit of Russian army chief to Pakistan after a long time

I think if Pakistan is ever interested in Mig-35, they will buy a better, more advanced and a lot cheaper version from China..........ofcourse Russia won't mind as they will get a share of the profits apart from providing some crucial components

For last 40 years Russia is trying for a stronghold in Middle east and failed miserably. Was even shattered into pieces for its ambitions. About time Pak and Russia realize that Russia is going no where in middle east with Indian bollywood dances so reconciling the differences with Pakistan is in its best favor.

As far As I can remember .. neither pakistan or india shares any border with Russia.. if you think russia wants to access pakistan through Kyrgyzstan a Tajikistan and Kazakhstan route.. they already have access to Iran through Turkmenistan, why risk anything through Unstable pkaistani route... so mybe more than my geography your logic sucks..

Why not use Krygz-Tajikstan-Pakistan route instead of such a long route through iran which will also lengthen the sea route?

That is the stupidest argument, evah!! Take a good look at the map of the region, know where Russia's friends and allies are, how Russian pipes run in the region. Pakistan is NOT the only country with warm waters!! And definitely NOT the safest!!

After the bold statement by US following Abbottabad raid, all this frenzied "diplomacy" appears to be just knee jerk reactions on Pakistan's part. There is neither coherent short term nor long term strategy! And its not going to pay!

well no matter how wide the rift between russia & india currently is! RUSSIA is and will be India's ally first! so yes time to be neutral towards Russia but thinking of it as an "ally" specially a one that will stand by you is expecting too much!
