Russia offers to export refined diesel at $59 dollars to Bangladesh

@Black_cats

Kalo Beral,

Currently, BPC is importing refined petroleum products above the international market rates, adding premium rate, as high as US$24 per barrel.

This is wierd. Why would anyone import at such a high premium.

Regards
That is the rate for refined petroleum. Because bd doesn't have much refining capacity

.
@rainbowrascal

That is the rate for refined petroleum.

In that case saying purchasing at a premium is incorrect- premium must be measured over the benchmark price for refined petroleum products rather than over crude prices.

Regards

Crude price + premium = refined petroleum price
This might be how it is. Although not fully sure

@rainbowrascal

Crude price + premium = refined petroleum price

Energy analysts like us refer to it as "refnery margins" or "crack spreads" usually, not premium

I said about a month ago that BD should just go ahead and import oil and gas from Russia as the shambolic West is in no position to do anything to BD.

Hasina has been testing the waters for some weeks by talking publicly against the sanctions.

Feeble West did not say anything in return and so BD will now feel emboldened to purchase direct from Russia.

US cannot overthrow BD government without launching an all-out economic war against it.

The Europeans are unlikely to go along with it and the US will face some blowback if they started this.

For them a confrontation with BD gives them too much to lose and not enough to gain.

Those who think that USA and Europe are all powerful and can dictate to BD in 2022 are living in a bygone era. World is changing before our very eyes and BD will take advantage of the changing world geopolitics to develop itself as quickly as it can.
I agree. I see Russia and China as the major challengers who are serving as the litmus test of what the current balance of power is, and as the world notices that this shift is real and occurring, more and more middle powers are quickly reorienting themselves to take advantage of the situation.

The question being asked is will the US relinquish its hegemony peacefully.

US cannot be allowed to hold the world hostage by deciding which rogue act to interfere in.

Most people of the world do not give a toss about the Burmese supporting Ukraine. Putin is giving them the Rohingya treatment. They deserve it!

Only the US thinks the rest of us must suffer too!!!

By 2030 the multipolar world will truly be be here and the West will have to adjust to its new position of just being one of two major power centres in the world along with China, with technologically advanced middle powers like Turkey to dilute their power even more. Others like Iran may join Turkey as medium-sized independent technological powers by 2040 or so as it will soon be able to develop itself free from the hindrance of the Western powers.

This new world will not be like that of the US-Soviet rivalry but a truly balanced one where all nations will have the chance to achieve their full potential without needing a "sugar daddy" to assist them.

I think the chances of world war three is very high in the next decade

If this is true, IK was right. Oil at 65$ Would have staved off our current cycle of inflation in Pakistan.

.
@bluesky if West Pakistan stole all your jute how did this get built?
Why ask me? Ask our great BAL asset @UKBengali. He would say BD was a desert before 1971 because nothing was built and west Pakistan stole everything that existed except our rainwater.

Many of the Chatra League (BCL) brats even deny that it was ever named East Pakistan Chatra League and it was always BCL even before 1971.

Our BAL brat @UKBengali is their denial leader.

BTW. @Bilal9 why did bharatis not take it apart and cart it away like they did with many other things?
Bharati military looted from Khulna on their way back to Hindustan. BAL leaders loved that because this is how they can get the Indian govt help.

You see, our Alga Momen called for Indian intervention in the BD election by sending volunteer voters.

Pakistan should buy Russian refined oil, with current economic difficulty Pakistan has, every one in Western world would understand Pakistan move.

Any way Indonesia rejected whole Western world pressure to kick Russia out of G 20 meeting and we dont agree on US scheme to cap Russian oil.

Any way, USA is also pursuing his own interest and dont care with other nations economic difficulty. Their Central Bank stubborn move to increase interest rate gradually and their sticky position in Iran nuclear deal show that egoistic character.

Indonesia Not Supporting US Initiative on Russian Oil Prices Cap, Ambassador Says

Yesterday (Updated: Yesterday)

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Indonesia is not supporting initiatives that are not in line with its interests, Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Jose Tavares told Sputnik, commenting on the US idea to introduce price cap for Russian oil.

"Indonesia will never support initiatives that are not in line with its own national interests. Indonesia has always conducted active free foreign policy that is only in line with its national interests," the diplomat said.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that US attempts to divide energy markets into "good" and "bad" are leading to destabilization of the sector, as well as jumps in fuel prices and inflation.

According to the diplomat, as a result of attempts by the United States and its allies to set a price cap for Russian oil, there will be a redistribution of commodity flows "not in favor of Western countries."

The USA wants its inflation to remain within 2%. So, the Federal Bank has to keep dollars inside the bank vaults instead of in the people's hands and bank accounts chasing after consumer goods and thus creating inflation.

This has resulted in the flight of dollars from every country to the USA and the Dollar exchange rate has been rising continuously.

Imran Khan was deposed for attempting it.

Shariff is PM because he is towing the US line.

BD has secured diplomatic cover from both China and India - hence WILL buy Russian oil at huge discount.
