Anyways, now that you mentioned it how does this all make sense. If you say Russia lives with Western values, then why do you need to be in NATO's league ? Doesn't this seem to contradict with Russia stealing your land ?

Yeah, I just wanted to give an example. Turkish people too lives with Western values, just like Japanese people does. Anyways, we still have an identity crisis among our society, you know this EU and Asian thing.
And no, not our lands, but our cousins live there.

What I was trying to say is, Russia is different than India or China. One of them is in Asia because of its imperial ambitions and the others are living in their homelands.

@mehmeTcc - Even though Russians are white they are not part of the Western block and may never be.

They are like the black-sheep of the white family.
