Russia Lists PAK FA export countries

.
Some major points

Russia expects China to be a Export target

Strong possiblity of a major european nation like Germany or France signing up in the future models as FGFA grows and matures. Reason being USA strict policy on no TOT ....

F35 & F22 will be more expensive and far too many political
strings...

Most nations will receive/order in smal nos except India who will acquire 250 over 20 years beginning 2020.

.
With India & Russia about to agree an a $12 billion cost (6 billion each) to finally get FGFA into production one russian media outlet has listed potential buyers export orders of 600+

Russia to export 600 Sukhoi PAK FA fifth generation jets - English pravda.ru

Please clarify the cost,

As 6 billion USD for India means 200 jets.

That's pretty damn cheap for a 5th Gen fighter out to counter F/A 22.

I mean, they are getting 126 4.5Gen jets for 10 billion, how is 6 billion possible?

Is 6 billion just the cost of R&D, put forth by India?

my friend it's not the cost of the jets.. it's cost towards the program to get going. buying cost would be over 100million $ per pc, if i'm not mistaken. i'm not an expert in this field. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

6 billion is the development cost..... Production and Import Costs are Different

There was a news story claiming that Russia has already invested 30 billion and expects to invest another 30 billion.

With India in the project i doubt that, even if it would be the pak-fa and not the fgfa and it would be 100% Russian, still i think India would not be happy.

Well, Its Another Su 30 MKI like venture Between Russia and India Most Probably....

Where We would have a certain amount of Russian PAK-FA and A certain amount of Indian Configured FGFA in IAF....

The Only Difference In This is India is Partnering the Program from the very development stages Unlike the Su-30's....

sir. pak-fa is told to b 50 nos.+ 200-250 fgfa. is what is being speculated. and pak-fa is russian and india wili b in fgfa

I think its obvious that they spent way more than the said 6 billion to reach this far. Do you think the 30 billion figure also include the development costs of Berkut and some tech used in the Su-35BM?

Yup , 6 Billion is th R&D cost being paid by india , the total cost of PAKFA/FGFA project is somewhere around 22 Billion USD
Indian govenment has also set aside 25 Billion USD for acquisition of around 250 FGFA , however like the Su30mki whose number now stand at 270 and if the Request of Strategic Force Command is met then number could go 310 , in the same way the number of FGFA could be as high as 300

RUSSIA WILL NEVER SELL FIFTH GEN. AIRCRAFTS TO CHINA AND ITS BCOZ.....
1.NO OFFENCE BUT CHINA DOES MAKE REVERSE ENGG. OF AIRCRAFTS
2.INDIA HAS 50% SHARE IN THE PROJECT. AND WE WILL NEVER AGREE TO SELL CHINA.

ALSO I DON'T THINK THAT RUSSIA WILL SELL THIS AIRCRAFT TO WEST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES BCOZ MANY OF THESE COUNTRIES ARE ALLIES OF USA. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT USA CAN ACCESS THOSE PLANES. WE ALL KNOW THAT USA HAS 5TH GEN. FIGHTERS BUT EVERY PLANE HAS ITS SPECIAL TECHS. AND ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER PLANES.
