Russia Lifted Ban From Supplies Of Weapons And Military Equipment To Pakistan

Moscow: Russia has lifted the ban on Pakistan in supplies of Russian weapons and other military equipment.

According to Official website of Russian, Ban is lifted on Russian weapons and other equipment sales to Pakistan.

According to Sergey Chemezov (head of Russian state-run technologies corporation), Russia has lifted a restriction from supplies of weapons and military equipment to Pakistan and is negotiating the delivery of several helicopter gunships Mil Mi-25 to the country.

Sergey Chemezov said that, “The decision was taken and we are negotiating the delivery of helicopters”.

Remember that: Russia is second largest country in the world after the United States of America in sale of weapons and military equipment. Moscow has set a target to sell the 700 billion dollars worth of weapons.

Quite old news! Nothing substantial has happened after the lifting of the ban. I suppose the Russians are watching india's love affair with uncle sam and israel. Russia won't make any decisive move until the newly married couple go on honeymoon. Of course, israel is the matchmaker in this 'holy matrimony'.

It is certainly good news for Pakistan. I hope Pakistan stays on the right side of Russia. Now that the cold war 2.0 is almost starting, we should be very careful in our dealings with Russia.

they will eventually go on for honeymoon , its just matter of time .. Pakistan is now less important for US , as they are utterly humiliated in Afghanistan , and all world know how they fund and armed the ISIS , now they are looking for India, to keep an eye on China , Indians already jumping up and down that Obama visit them ... Russian on the other hand starting to realize that Pakistan is a important player in this region .. and Pakistan is a big market for Russians to sell their weapons and other goods...Mi-35 deal is already finalized and delivery will be started some time in 2015 .. Problem with Pakistan is that we dont have hard cash to buy arms which Russians has offered to us ... but its good that Russian are now showing some flexibility , one thing i can assure you that you will see major changes in this region in upcoming years ...

Good for Pakistan bad for China's defense industry..!

And as far as India is concerned, no big deal for us, we already have China as our enemy who has been procuring most of its defense hardware from Russia since decades...So we know, how to deal with Russian stuff..but you probably wont know since India mostly modify Russian hardware to meet its requirement by mixing indigenous as well as Israelly tech..

I was the one who predicted that russia will come close to pakistan in 2009 at that time all members critisiced me few supported only and u see russia is knowing importance of pakistan without pakistan nothing comes out and goes in most of short routes are connected from pakistan with major countries and above them all usa is pushing india to oppose russia in ukraineian crises and russia also knew that what ever india have to buy had bought from russia now indians are bound for spares of their war machines from russia india still have to buy spares from russia now india cannot dictate russian policy to pakistan and russia got new arm buyer not bigger class but pakistan can recommend russian arms to arab countries as pakistan did for sweedish erieye for saidia and uae so russia still can sell more weapons
