Pakistan is not on its own. That's the problem. USA decides it, so plenty of excuses can be said about Russian oil, such as Russian oil is too oily, smelly and dirty. Just like the case with IPI pipeline and the cheap Iranian gas.

Russia is offering 30% discount oil from market price to China and India already. There is no reason why Pakistan should not take advantage.

The day people understand and accept the difference between India and Pakistan and why there are many liberties that India can afford which other countries simply cannot; and that Pakistan has very different challenges than India, that would be the day Imran Khan's lies, rhetoric and propaganda will start melting away.

28 Billion gone in 30 days?

Pakistan is simply living up to its commitment made to IMF under Imran Khan of removing subsidies. When subsidies are removed, Pakistanis face the same crunch that the entire world is facing and when cost of Oil increases, it has an effect on everything else.

The Russian Government has still not responded officially to the request initiated under PTI Government; infact they have not responded to the reminder of the request so take this with a pinch of salt.

Furthermore, just the other day there was news in DAWN that the 2nd and 3rd biggest Indian Oil Importers have been denied Oil by Russia and only the largest importer has been able to sign a contract with Russia. Things are not as simple as are being made for politics.
