Russia, India commence military drills

The Indra 2016 drills are being held in Primorye
Russia and India have commenced the Indra 2016 military drills at the Sergeyevsky Training Area in the Primorye Territory, the press office off the Eastern Military District told TASS on Sept. 23.
“The gist of the exercise will be to establish a combined force of Russia’s Eastern Military District and Indian troops to conduct an operation designed to find, encircle and eliminate notional terrorist and illegal armed groups with the use of air and field artillery units,” the district’s spokesman, Vladimir Matveyev, said.
The two countries have furnished a total of 500 servicemen, about 50 weapons systems and vehicles, an unmanned aerial vehicle detachment and the Eastern Military District’s ground attack aircraft and helicopters for the maneuvers, Matveyev said.
The joint exercises will conclude on Oct. 2.

Because Russia patting you on your head, ignoring you and coming to Pakistan to conduct military exercises would be humiliating for India

But thankfully you didnt ask Russia or anyone else to isolate Pakistan so your ok

Russia holds separate joint war games with India, Pakistan

Sep 23, – Russia’s Defense Ministry said about 70 mountain infantry troops arrived in Pakistan Friday to participate in the exercise. The ministry said the drills starting Saturday will help “develop and strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.”
Russian soldiers have arrived in Pakistan to take part in the first joint military maneuvers, just as Russia has hosted Indian troops for counter-terrorism drills.
The maneuvers coincide with a Russian-Indian military exercise launched Thursday at a military shooting range in Russia’s far east, which involve 250 troops from each side.
Moscow and New Delhi maintained close political and military ties during the Cold War, while the U.S. backed India’s neighbor and rival, Pakistan. India remains a top customer for Russian weapons, but Moscow has also sought to develop ties with Pakistan.
