Forget future, they want that now. It's going to be hard for them to go head to head with TATAs, Reliance, and Mahindra.

Actually this is about production in India. The choice between starting a new concept and project with global suppliers or taking a stake in Russias BMP3 production which China has also done, but India will not be limited like China.
This was to reduce cost.
