^ Pay no attention to him Russian comrade. Statistically all Manchus are Sinocized and live in China. No fringe movements out there that I am aware of.

You mean how you erased Manchu language as a spoken language after Qing Dynasty ended.

I have been to Harbin many times, the Russian influence there actually from White Russians, not red Russians, also most people don't care Russia, only in places like 中央大街,you can see strong Russian cultural influence, but that's for tourism, nothing more
Then my source not came from America, but from our older generation northeast Chinese, they know what the Soviet army did in the 1945,and they felt your army is worse than Japanese army,I'm no way biase to Japanese,it's true, the people felt your army in rape and loot is worse than Japanese
This is nonsense. You just do not know what the USSR actually was. We did not have the wealth, as Europeans, but we had something different. We are taught from childhood simple rules - do not hurt the weak, do not beat those who fell, do not hit in the back, do not take someone else's, be afraid of conscience, love the Motherland, respect elders, and so on. We were not proud of wealth, but of sense of duty, the ability to sacrifice ourselves for others, were proud of the friendship of the peoples, and so on. So what are you talking about - this is nonsense. I admit that among the supporters of the nationalists and their descendants still tell terrible tales of the Red Army, but this is nonsense.

You mean news article and blog are considered as an authority on historical matters?
The last emperor Puyi couldn't even speak Manchu. By the 1700's, the imperial courts and the Bannerman were speaking Chinese. There's no substitute for a proper education.

@Fattyacids Did commonmen Manchu spoke manchu at the time of Puyi. But I am baffled the way Manchu was erased after 1950s, not a trace of Manchu language was left in Manchuria and language revivalist have to visit far away to Xinjiang to revive the basic Manchu language.

It's not our business.I just hope Japan and Russia would have a war. That's the best I can do.

Common Manchu people have forgotten manchu language even long before the nobles did, the nobles - especially the imperial household of qing tried best to preserve their culture, including intermarriage between each other and mongolian clans, customs and language, obiously they have failed. Nobody "erased Manchu language as a spoken language after Qing Dynasty ended", the Manchurians failed to preserve their culture and language even before the end of qing dynasty, and after its downfall nobody cared to keep fooling themselves.

Whaling is an ancient form of ritual for millions of Northern Japanese. Especially in my home region of Hokkaido. Many of the Ainu of Japan are fond of whaling, as they've been hunting whales since time immemorial. Many of the Ainu that still live in the Kuril Islands (which is now administered by the Russian Federation) still adhere to their traditional habits and go whaling as well.

If Japanese love whale meat so much, why not develop whale farming tech ?

If USSR had not helped the Communists - they could lose the civil war, you know? Then China would become something like a second Africa, an endless source of manpower and resources for the Europeans.

All US allys in east asia experienced strong economic development during cold war, what makes you think that China wouldn't ?

He is dealing with a real Prussian here. ;)
I was always immensely amazed at the similarity of the words Russia and Prussia. I think before Christianity we were brotherly tribes.

Japan was developed country before WW2. Korea began to flourish only in the 80-90s, before the standard of living in the two Koreas deffers a little. United States wanted to put an end to China's development in 1989, when they tried to hold anti-constitutional coup. They did not get it just due to the power of the Chinese Communist Party. And if it turned out - than the United States would devide China into several states. Of which those that near the sea would reach some economic success, and those on the mainland - would be absolutely destitute.
