Any Answers MIG?
Any way what is Israel? They are occupiers, occupying the Palistenian Lands. They will go one day, You agree or Not.
Kashif
Alright you have u'r opinion on Israeli "occupation" , I have mine. Lets leave it at that if u agree.

But I do not think they will go away .... simply bcoz of the geopolitical conditions existing right now and Israeli military strength.
The arabs tried to destroy Israel twice since its inception. The first time was a mega disaster for the arabs. The second time they were better prepared and gave a better fight but still failed in their ultimate aim.
Now there are US soldiers permanently stationed in Saudi Arabia. So being involved in a war against Israel would be too complicated for the most powerful arab country.Iraq is out of the equation.Egypt has good relations with the US which they wudnt like to jeopardize.Syria and Jordan cant face Israel alone. That leaves Iran. And the moment they do something against Israel the US will attack them. i dont see how they will 'go away' ? Not unless the US falls from its superpower status.

The occupier status is debatable IMHO though everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion ofcourse.
Correct me if i'm wrong but the presence of jews in jerusalem and surrounding areas predates the emergence of both christianity and Islam. They were driven out of their lands by early muslim conquerors. They migrated to diff parts of europe and faced discrimination and harrasment at the hands of christians. Then we all know what happened in germany and italy after the Nazis and the fascists came to power. They had to leave there too for the sake of the lives. Till the formation of israel they just didnt have a homeland of their own.An israeli wud say they took back what was rightfully theirs.

I'm not a jew.But i do feel sorry for them.

MIG ACE.
Please allow me to correct some falacies in your post. You are correct that the Jews have lived in Jerusalem prior to the advent of both Christianity and Islam. I would strongly disagree at the fact that they were driven out of their lands by early muslim conquerers. Look through Middle eastern history and you will find jews as a part and parcel of the muslim history and society and even occupying posts in the various Governments of the time. So unlike Spanish history where following conquest of the spanish empire from the Moores by the Christians, within 150yrs there were no Muslims left in Spain at all, thereby erasing 800 yrs of muslim rule, jews have happily coexisted in the middle east since the conquest of Jarusalem by the muslims. Infact the gripe of the Palestinians is not this fact, but the fact that they have been forcefully displaced from their homes following the formation of Israel.Talk to the Christian Palestinians and they will tell you the same. What we also disagree with is the continuing use of INAPPROPRIATE frorce by the Israelis in response to the Palestinian uprising and their constant disregard for international boundaries and nations. I think the past is past and nobody denies that Israel exists and has a right to exist, but they should not be allowed to blatently disregard international rules and norms and continue to occupy land which does not belong to them.
I do appologise for digressing from the main topic but felt the need to rectify certain inaccuacies.
Regards
Araz

Guys, if you can't provide a proof, way to go, one will not admit you.

Even then if you want to stick with your opinion which has no facts or proofs behind it, then you may live in ignorance.

Russia Fills Iran's Air Defense Missile Contract
MOSCOW — Russia has fulfilled a contract to sell air defense missiles to Iran, Russian news agencies quoted the head of the country's state-run weapons exporter as saying Tuesday.

Russia fulfilled its contract obligations and "completed in full the delivery of Tor M-1 missiles to Iran," ITAR-Tass quoted Rosoboronexport chief Sergei Chemezov as saying in Bangalore, India, where he was on a visit along with Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov.

Defense Ministry officials have previously said Moscow would supply 29 of the sophisticated missile systems to Iran under a $700 million contract signed in December 2005, according to Russian media reports.

Ivanov said last week that at least some of the missiles had been sent, the first high-level confirmation that their delivery took place despite U.S. complaints. At the time, however, a ministry official speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject said not all the systems contracted for had been delivered. There was no immediate explanation for the discrepancy.

The United States called on all countries last year to stop all arms exports to Iran, as well as ending all nuclear cooperation with it to put pressure on Tehran to halt uranium enrichment activities. Israel has also severely criticized arms deals with Iran.

Russia does provide lot of stuff to Iran, simply because Iran cant buy it from somewhere else. China and Russia has done a lot of backing in the United Nations for Irans nuclear energy development. I am not aware of any relations between Russia and Israel though, but i am pretty sure they are normal.
