Obviously, Russian influenced has been restricted.

1. Their economy has stopped growing but it's only been allowed to survive.
2. Nations are moving away from big ticket military acquisitions from Russia unless the US allows them.
3. Russians are bogged down in Syria, probably in Kazakhstan and Ukraine next.
4. Western militaries are moving closer and closer to the Russian border.
5. Imagine the turmoil and chaos that will unfold when Putin is no longer around. Disintegration is a possibility.
6. Russia has no clear strategy to defeat NATO in any way or form.
7. Russians have become so pathetic that they're forcing other countries like Ukraine to be their friends when everyone just wants to get away from them.

With what? Our 4 nuke subs are invaluable. They can't be used in any attack role.

This leaves 2 attack subs on watch at sea, as remaining 2 are always in docks for never ending repairs.

Russia has 50 subs, and it never lets its attack subs sail alone. It's always 2-4 in a pack.

Just some economical fundamentals. UK a country which has almost ZERO manufacturing of goods and has almost no natural resources somehow has bigger economy !! Printing money and showing bigger GDP on paper even a donkey can do these days !! UK to date has printed/generated £895 billion worth of bonds through QE !!!
