Russia completed the delivery of four Mi-35 combat helicopters to Pakistan

I first saw these on BBC news when I was a young man pummeling the mujihadeen in early 1980s. All these decades later they are still flying. Even more surprise to see Pak buying them. Irony of ironies ...
Mi -35 is a newer version and is better than other helos for it capability in surgical strikes it is both a proper Gun ship and troop transporter. This was more a symbolic purchase to improve ties with Russia but there are no images of them any where in Pakistani colors.

It's a great chopper. If I remember correctly it gave the mujihadeen grief until they got Stinger missiles from US.

I am against Pakistan buying big ticket items like ships etc but without a doubt Pakistan needs choppers, MRAPs, light recon planes, 4/6/8 wheeled AFVs, lots of body armour etc. Pakistan needs desperately to beef up internal security forces. The nuclear shield pretty well will hold India at bay. It's internal problems that are threat to Pakistan right now.

The specific purchase of only 4 helos means it is only reserved for some special unit that comprises of only 32 personals some type of Quick reaction force to storm some facility. and Mi-35 is kind of a aerial cover for that force. but I have searched the entire internet for the images of these helicopters or specification nothing is available. So they have some definite role. deliveries were made before 14th august and these were not shown there as well.

Pak got a dozen for free...

Forced to surrender and defectors.
Some were given as "gifts" to China,France and US..

other soldiered on with Pak Army... Till they were scrapped... And sent to the graveyard...
Plenty of pics around.

Your answer is in your question.
If they are for Special Operations then they will likely be kept under wraps.

Question would be how many are minimally required? I reckon 24 units altogether would do the job for us.
24 units just for the Afghan front? Wouldnt it be better with 8 mi 35's for unit insertion in hot zones and immediate air support while, z 19 light attacks helis are procured lets say around 20 or so for ramming the terrorists on Afghan border backed up with survielence and attack drones...

Today Russian officials announced that ISIS strength has exceeded more than ten thousand in Afghanistan....we have to secure our Western border...need at least 25 of these units. Cobras can no longer carry out that burden.
