Russia claims to have 'electronic bomb' that can disarm entire US Navy

A state-controlled Russian news channel claims the country's military has devised a form of electronic weapon which could completely incapacitate all US ships and planes without the need for ammunition. The so-called "Russian Electronic Warfare" system reportedly works by jamming radio control signals.

In the report, broadcast on Russia-1's Vesti programme, it was claimed the system had been used by a Russian Sukhoi Su-24 bomber against the USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea in 2014. The ship lost power and had to be rushed to port in Romania.

Vesti quoted now-retired US Air Force General Frank Gorenc as saying: "Russian electronic weapons completely paralyse the functioning of American electronic equipment installed on missiles, aircraft and ships."

The report also claims Russia can create electronic jamming domes over military bases to make them "invisible" to enemy surveillance. The reporter adds: "You don't need to have expensive weapons to win – powerful radio-electronic jamming is enough."

The US has not commented on the claims but recent reports do suggest Russia's military is becoming increasingly aggressive and ambitious. Its new "Zircon" hypersonic missile, able to fly at 4,600mph, was recently announced. Russia has also built a huge new base in the Arctic, and Russian bombers today flew near Alaska for the second time in 24 hours, Fox News reported.

Russia claims, however, that it is being forced to bolster its military because of the expansion of Nato to its European border. Moscow is also concerned about recent US actions, including President Trump's aggressive stance towards North Korea and the cruise missile attack against a Syrian air base.

Good to hear but i got some news which is making me doubt about something going wrong in Afghanistan where they drop bomb
I just saw a news that us army is still fighting in that area.and area has been no go zone??

Yes you are correct the area is off limits to every one Afghan Army has not been allowed to enter and area has been restricted for all foreign and domestic presence. Allah Gupta head of Indian ISIS wing has been reported causality of the blast. But my assessment tells me that the MOAB acted a huge flash bang and most of the ISIS fighter resident inside caves were take out by ground troops. Most of the people in the blast went deft and were later taken out by ground troops. I have some news from Afghan Media which pointed in the direction.

You know, except that this never happened. They also claimed crew members resigned, radar screens when dark (as if the Russians could even see inside the Cook) and a whole bunch of other wonk. All without supporting evidence of course.

Like most of Russia's claims, this is exaggerated. They do make good EW systems though.

Well I doubt USA more than Russians. Now Trump said the Carls Vinson strike group was going to North Korea and it turned out the the Group was going to Australia as the Images posted on the site of US Navy show Indonesian Islands in the background

Meanwhile, the Russian Su-24 that buzzed the USS Donald Cook carried neither bombs nor missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage, which, according to the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta [2], contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny.

They are heading towards North Korea. But they had to train with Australia first in exercises. So they sped that up.

I think Because USA their main enemy knows as they have already used it in USA.

Really? Enlightened us with that. And don't put that worked on American destroyer, because that won't stand. Its been debunked and never happened. Just made up BS.
