Russia-China Warn US That Israeli Attack On Iran Means “World War”

It depends if Iran tries to close the Straight of Hormuz. If that happens China and Russia would not be able to supply the weapons fast enough. Since the war would escalate far beyond Israels attacks. If they do not try to close the straights they can play the victim to the fullest. I'm sure their pride will not allow that though.

I dont think so, though, as you said "their pride", but, they are wise enough to know the futility of the exercise; blocking the straight. They will not gain anything from it, BUT, will lose much.

It also would not be wise for Syria to get involved since it would result in the destruction of what little air force they have.

I dont think that even with an attack on that magnitude, the Syrians will be willing to jump in, at any time. Their is no commitment on their part to Iran in anyway that binds them to get involved.

About the best Iran could hope for is their missiles to make it through Israels anti missile defenses. Down some attacking aircraft. Or hit any Israeli ships. Unconventionally they could use their proxy Hezbollah to attack Israeli Interests around the world.

In an endeavor like that, the chances of Iran's success will only be improved by the numbers of the salvos being fired. If these barrages are large enough, they can penetrate the shields, BUT, even then, how much actual damage will they be able to inflict?, there is good guess, that, it wont be "significant".

Down some attacking aircraft.

The only way they can hope to do that, is if, AA guns are able to succeed, as any SAM in the theater is more probably an old oddity that will be no match for the Lockheed birds.

Or hit any Israeli ships.

Please elaborate this point!!

Unconventionally they could use their proxy Hezbollah to attack Israeli Interests around the world.

I think that in any such event, the only other front that they can hope to open, would be this one, But, will this front actually open in any such scenario??? , again, it might, but, it will be minimal and not significant.

On the religious side of things if Russia and China where to get involved with Iran. Many people will see it as the run up to the battle of Armageddon.

There you go Thomas! the old, hardcore, fox watching, republican voting, steak eating, zealous evangelist!.

Seriously though, I doubt that, China or Russia would get involved in the middle of such a conflict, at all!!, probably at best, in the beginning, that too, only in the diplomatic circles, and to actually think that they would get involved on a scale you are imagining!!, is as I just said, wishful but not realistic thinking.

Uncle Sam is going to be bankrupt in recession that would be easier for the whole world and completely broken. Money control every corner of the world. However, it didn't happened when economy is improved slightly.

It is better to change currency from US dollars asap.

maybe your to young to remember. But I remember people thinking similar thoughts during the U.S. recession of the 1980's. We had massive job losses, and the Government had to take over lots of financial institutions. People that love to hate the U.S. will always be doomsayers. But so far history has proved them wrong.

That didn't stop them in the past from attacking gulf shipping. remember when they laid all the mines?

Iran has submarines they could choose to use against Israeli ships. Russia a few years back modernized some of Iran's subs.

American house holds are under tremendous pressure to keep up payments on mortgages, credit cards, insurances etc. Infact the Credit Card meltdown is the predicted to be the next coming meltdown in the US.

On average the outstanding dues for Americans on their credit cards is about 5000 USD , US house holds spend 30 to 40 % more each month than they earn. How do you expcet to keep going on like this ?

This is not like the 80s , the US is engaged in costly wars around the globe and sooner or later the debts and expenditures will bring the US to its knees.

A quick back of the envolope type statistic is as follows:

The total unempolyment in the US is hovering around 9% ( expected to grow around 10% by the end of the year )

Total poulation of the US is around 300 million , out of these 300 million 9% are curently unemployed so roughly 27 million unemployed.

If these 27 million cannot keep up credit card re-payments or mortgage re-payments , well sooner or later they'll default and the bill for these 27 million works out as follows

Current Credit Card Debt of un-employed US citizens:
27 million x 5000 USD = 135000 million USD or 13.5 Billion USD.

If for late payments the interest charged is 5% then you can well imagine that if this debt is not reduced it can multiply very quickly over the next five years and the US will be even deeper doo doo than it is now.

There is a price to pay for savagery , brutality , curelty and arrogance ( all of which the US has displayed over the past 8 years ) and getting crushed under a pile of debt of the Jews will poetic justice for the evangelist biggots.

Note: The above is a very very OPTAMISTIC analysis the actual picture is much more bleaker , related article

I remember. We got people with degrees and experience out the wazoo got their predictions all wrong. But here we have a bunch of nobodies demanding acknowledgement they are right.

Don't think anyone here intends to "write off" the good ol' US of A. I agree that for those who may, history has not been on their side - well not yet until it does.

Battles/campaigns may be waged by professionals, but wars are just as likely won, and lost, by nobodies - the collection of "nobodies" who work the factories, banks, and crowd the streets, and who sway opinions.

For a professional, I would think Vietnam gives such a lesson, for Uncle supposedly lost not single a skirmish in that war ...

To myself, whose only "martial experience" involved emptying a clip of SKS back in high school during mandatory boot camp (and can't say the recoil grew on me), America's option in this one is to lose, lose more, and potentially lose its shirt, if bombs fly "willy nilly" - be its own or Izzy's.

On the other hand, buying off and/or bargaining with Iran is far more appealing - may actually score the Plutocracy some tangible wins.

Now, if you happen to hold the opinion that sooner the Plutocracy comes crashing down, the "better" it is for "real" Americans, then by all means, clamour for war and hasten that process, Mr. Pro.

I would like to know your source for the 30 - 40% per month. As far as credit card debt. Every single credit card holder could default on their debt (which is about 967 billion) and it would not cause a financial collapse. Even in bad times the U.S. economy is on a scale all by itself. I couldn't find figures for 2008 but 2007 net worth of private house holds and none profit organizations is around 57 trillion dollars. yearly U.S. GDP is around 14 trillion dollars. Yearly Government tax receipts are around 2.7 trillion dollars.

Don't underestimate the size or resiliency of the U.S. economy. like I said before I have heard arguments like yours before. and history has always proved them wrong.

It's "encouraging" to see the Plutocrats wising up:

U.S., Iran hold bilateral nuclear talks

Hope this continues. The trend of Iran becoming a nuclear/paranuclear force to be reckoned with is, IMHO, not something that can be stopped over the long run.

Uncle might as well try to make it more or less a part of the "big tent" ...

Izzies will do fine I believe. For all of Najad's loose lip smacking, he is but a "useful idiot" of the Iranian "Proletariat wing", whereas the majority of the "literati" of the Persian society are as far from "Amalekites" as you can hope for.
