Russia-China victory in Syria a sign of declining US power

the credit goes to Russia itself..... Russia send signals to West, will neva hesitate to take military action against the attacker....deployed war ships.... Never stepped back in this issue..... China used it's veto...later did nothing......

I never claimed Syria is in peace now, and terrorists are not easy, USA most powerful country, still struggles with them, recent example Kabul yesterday, lol your the one who is lost.

Care to elaborate who these 'terrorists' are exactly? 'Human shields'? Did someone just transform into an Israeli? :woot:

Everyone can see that they are using tanks and artillery against civilians with some of your own countrymen fleeing to Turkey as refugees. Is that how you people deal with anyone disagreeing with your PoV? Seriously?

If Assad was indeed transparent, he should allow foreign media to access the places affected to prove the international reports wrong or 'propaganda' as one may put it.

The issue is not the enforcement of the rule of law (which Syria has every right to do), but the use of force. That was the main point both Russia and China raised while at the same time securing their interests in the Middle East.

Last time I checked, Syria's first lady condemned Israel for using excessive force against the Palestinians (who Ironically live as 2nd class residents in Syria for decades). And here you are using tanks and artillery against people.

For the record, Syria doesn't have a great human rights record either.

And as far as the article is concerned, it is the opinion of the author.

Syria is vulnerable either way.

You logic is flawed.

Assad is using wrong methods to deal with opposition. And his supporters are blind enough to support him in his every step (like you are doing here). Opposition exists in majority of the countries but do those in power have the right to butcher the opposition like Assad is doing? Come to Pakistan and you will witness incredible opposition.

Why thousands of Syrians have fled to other countries during the current crises?

Do you see American refugees in Canada?
Do you see Pakistani refugees in India?
Do you see Iranian refugees in Iraq?

And vice versa....

Let me give you an example. There are some elements in Balochistan that are anti Pakistan we believe that it is a minority of discontents. Lets say you supply 1000 of them with AK47's and they go on the rampage and as a result the security forces clamp down on them as a law and order issue. Collateral damage will occur. Lot's of innocent people will flee the violence. It then becomes self fulling that outsiders can stoke the fire. Interfering in countries internal matters can never be the right thing to do.

China will not be applauded by Sauds etc that is their capital they have been prepared to expend

Assad is a walking dead. The only question is how many more people are going to die before he falls finally.

In historical terms sadly that may be the case for Israel too. After all who will give Israel charity for it to exist after Americans have gone bust

.
As much as I dislike American intervention, if Assad is truly loved by his people then why doesn't he stand in a free and fair election? Surly he will win by a landslide.

I second that but lets have elections in all the Israel puppet states starting with Arabia.

Assad is a walking dead. The only question is how many more people are going to die before he falls finally.

I guess you will cheer if 1 or million die as long as they are Muslims its cool with you.

Look: Who is saying that?
Charity begins at home.

Brother, Baloch issue is very different from that of Syrian issue. Baloch rebels want to dismember Pakistan further. In contrast, Syrian 'revolutionists' want change within their country and Assad to go. These guys are part of common people in Syria.

When protests started in Syria, they were initially peaceful. It is possible that some voilent incidents may have taken place but this happens in many countries. What Assad did in response is that he ordered the military to shoot the protesters to force them to abandon their calls for change. And this is why many Syrians fled their country to save their lives but some decided to fight back. And now they are being labelled as terrorists by Assad and his supporters. What nonsense is this? Several months have passed by now and people are still protesting in Syria. Something is not right, correct?

This would have remained internal issue of Syria if refugee crises would not have happened. However, thanks to brutality of Assad - his actions have brought international attention.

Let me make this clear to you - when it comes to interests, Russia and China are no saints either. Both of these nations would support brutal dictators too when it suits their interests. Difference is that USA is more aggressive in its foreign policy matters.

Brother our views on how to achieve peace may be different and from different perspectives but I do not doubt for a moment that we both want peace and prosperity for Syria

Murderious regime in Syria is going to fall. By supporting it u are only prolonging the slaughter. Whats not clear here?

Look at Tunisia: Ben Ali fled without any fight and there were virtually no casualties. We have a new democratically elected government.

Coming from a nation that has indirectly or directly killed so many Arabs why the change of heart?
