Even if there is pressure, India is not in a position to take any direct action that is being expected by its citizens.

Diplomatic pressure will give only limited results other than customary condemnation.

Assuming Pakistan has directly or indirectly supported this attack, India may start/intensify a similar response. But this path will be destructive for both the countries.
