Russia and Pakistan Hold High level Meeting

If you look at it this way, it would be Russia + Iran + INDIA + Pakistan + China. Do you really think that India will miss out a 2.2 - 2.5 billion consumer market by staying away from the CPEC? This would bring a lot of competition to Indian products and services that India enjoys monopoly today (IT / BPO / Agriculture, etc), but it would also benefit over half a billion poor Indians and millions of smaller businesses inside India, who otherwise, couldn't afford to go to the West or sell or market their products to the West. What cheaper way to expand your business by truck, being connected to three times the size of your local market!!

The US would oppose it but no matter how you look at it, India will join the CPEC when it becomes a reality and they realize the benefits. It makes no sense to push something good away that can help you grow over half a billion of your own average people, and get your small businesses to become richer, while making peace with two of your major enemies!! You just can't beat the benefits and you also can't be at a war with any of these countries you share borders with. Those days have become history. This entire region is highly nuke-risk centered and no one would be left to even have an economy after a war (let alone "one of the top economies", the status India, China and now Pakistan enjoy). So why push something away that grows people, eliminated enemies and make them friends??

India may be interested in CPEC but why do think Pakistan and China would entertain India. Does not make any sense at all. China and Pakistan would surely keep India out of CPEC as that is in the strategic interest of both of them.

That's not true. If India was so important for Russia today, no such visit would have even be possible. Russia is a power despite the fact they have a bit of economic depression but it is Russia that has India by balls and not the other way round.
Pakistan took a long time in talking the step but it took and Russia welcomed it.
India can and is replacing Russia easily. Having said that, Russia and India still have tens of billions of dollars defense deals between them, which Russia sorely needs to offset the damage sanctions have done to the Russian economy.

Russia isn't in a "bit of economic depression", it is in full on recession, and the economy isn't getting better. With India's economy rapidly growing, and is probably going to be 3-5 times larger than Russia by 2025-30, Russia isn't going to give up on their most valuable customer.

Even though India has replaced Russia with US as its top defense partner, a majority of their equipment is still Russia, so you're somewhat right that Russia still has influence in India, but that is EXACTLY why the Indians are diversifying their defense base, so the Russians can't continue to blackmail them (late deliveries, questionable quality, cheap systems but extortionist level expensive maintenance -mainly spare parts-); Russia is afraid of this, especially considering that oil and defense system sales are the only things keeping the Russian economy from collapsing, and if their biggest customer fails to buy more systems, Russia's economy will be in big trouble.

Within a few decades, India will be mostly self-reliant, when it comes to defense; They've been investing tens of billions in R&D, and most of Russian hardware, India will (in a few decades) have their own domestic alternatives for. By 2030-40, India will probably only import very few high end defense equipment (while developing domestic solutions), and probably through tenders, which means that Russia will be out of luck, as it is outmatched by most European and Western consortiums.

This is both why Russia is still reliant on India, and why Russia also realizes that it must start diversifying its customers base, which is why they've been courting Pakistan.

tl;dr Russia needs India more than India needs Russia. India needs Russia only temporarily, but within the near future, India will no longer be forced into relying on Russia. Russia's economy needs Indian sales to offset poor economy, and bring in much needed cash.

Debatable.

When CPEC was first announced, there were talks that China and (a reluctant Pakistan) were open to the idea of India using CPEC. Mind you, I don't actually have proof of this, as it was mainly rumors flying around.

In present society it is important to develop good relation with different countries with same amount of respect

Avoiding war at all cost and focusing on good understanding with all. So that issues can be resolved on the discussion table, and competition should only be in Olympics

Pakistan's policy has been universal collaboration with different countries with out signally out anyone

Obviously we have dealt with some nations longer periods vs others but such relations grow with time, and those relations have a certain - Warmth , which is tested with time

However it is also important to develop understanding with more nations
and goal is always to develop same warm relation with maximum number of nations. Specially with the danger of ISIS in region such talks are beneficial to help develop a policy to tackle the danger in region

Our unbiased views on global issues help us become a good third party during negotiation to bring different people to table.

The below meeting appears to be a quite common meetup between delegate of similar rank

Happens many times between different nations and Pakistan across the year

  • By the way Russia is a mega gas/oil producer , it is not dependent on Defence sales alone for those suggesting it needs cash from India

You can stick to your opinion and I would rather say just wait and see and not very long just 2-3 years. If economy was so dear to Russia....Well I don't want to argue with someone who can't read the writing on the wall.

I can read the writing on the wall just fine, if you don't have a response, don't resort of insults.

Wow,

If we get together
Russia + Iran + INDIA + Pakistan + China.:undecided:

This region will fill with Happiness and Good Economy

I 'll always pray for that till me last breath, We don't have to fight not anymore

.
how quick would it take for someone to bring up the su-35?
the timer is on......now.
There are many other items that interest Pakistan. SU-35 could be possible as both Russia and China would like Pakistan to eliminate Afghan ISIS threat. Both these countries can not afford ISIS in their backyard.
