MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia is not in talks with the Syrian government about supplying advanced S-300 ground-to-air missiles and does not think they are needed, the Izvestia daily cited a top Kremlin aide as saying on Friday, in an apparent U-turn by Moscow.

And this clearly indicates that Russians are no less the arse lickers of the Israelis than the US, EU and others. Trusting the Russians is like putting your trust in a venomous snake. Iran and others need to be very careful when dealing with the Russians.

Russia shouldn't be supporting a state sponsor of terror if it does not want crippling sanctions on itself..the economic pressure bought on Putin is finally showing results..Russia has no benefit in defending Syria and its regime once the mutual interest are settled in table talk and Syria has just become a pawn in global politics..

I’m always very amused by watching how many of the (Muslim hardline) people in here wet their pants when talking about Putin and Russia like Russians are such a great friend to the Muslims in general and such a real ally or something. Just because some people are full of hate towards America and Israel it makes them forget some facts or ignore any common sense.

Let’s leave aside the fact that Ummah doesn’t exist and neither does real friendship and morals in the world of politics- only interests are forever and everyone will try to use you for their own profits in the end of the day.

But of course that Russia is dependent on Israel and the Jews- after all it was the USSR that was the first country to recognize Israel. Stalin even decided to make a whole Jewish Autonomous Region in Siberia where he invited Jews to settle but most Jews are smart people and declined the offer. Hundreds of thousands of Jews still live in Russia though and many of them control large parts of it’s economy and politics. Just see the list of Russia’s richest and you will see many with Jewish names and ancestry. More than a million of the Jews in Israel are Russian speaking and recent migrants to the country so the connections between the countries are very strong. You can be sure that Israel can do whatever it wants in Syria and Russians won’t even do a thing about it.
