I am one of his supporter as partition of India was a big blunder according to him. We would have been saved of all these wars and bad blood.. I have heard him and found quite logical. By the way I am not that Akhand Bhata wala type. If USA can have Obama, why not a muslim PM of India. India won't have any problem supporting a Muslim for PM ship if he truely shows leadership qualities. I have high hope on Omar Abdulla some day.

But anyone who just represents Islam community cant be PM of India on practicle ground. Is Omar Abdulla belongs to that is a question? I don't quite agree with you on this. Omar Abdulla is a very progressive man and fit to be PM of India. I find every quality in him to be PM. being member of a reginal party is not an issue for becoming PM. If people like Dev Gouda, IK Gujaral can become PM without being memmbers of big national parties, I am sure Omar can also. All he needs is to play his cards well. Just being a Muslim or not being won't take too far. We need progressive leaders and it hardly makes no difference who they are. If Sonia Gandhi is acceptable, why not Omar Abdulla? I think majority of Indians have come out of this mindset. They won't care till person leads India and makes her a developed nation and great power.
