Every man(hindus) should submit himself/herself at the foot(saranagadhi) of god at one point of time , then you sins would be dissolved in ocean like that God statue thereby our souls mingle with nature that is philosophy behind that. Usually our birth describing as ocean/big sea in our religion . Apart from Ganesha statue we won't put other statue in river or ocean.
