Rumours of China suffering a $430 billion loss on US Bonds portfolio

$430 billion loss just loss or had been transfered to someone's accounts?

China holds treasury securities of around 843.7 billion $ (as of june 2010). How exactly can china suffer a loss of more than 50% is beyond me. This news is BS.
