Hi Tall Guy, I think we can rationally figure this out IF the info is right. Here is what I think:

In addition, some quick comments:
1. Both you and Khafee have reported presence of PAF pilots. You have added they are CAT A pilots (for those uninitiated, this means the best fighter pilots of PAF). Khafee has added they are there to train on a
new bird (or fish).
2. PAF does not need CAT A pilots to leave Pakistan right now. Nor does the JF-17 BLock 3 require the presence of PAF pilots in force in China. No body knows how to fly the JF-17s better, and being identical to previous blocks, they are not going to do something completely different aerodynamically.
So, logically it follows that PAF is not there for the JF-17
3. J-10C makes the most rational and pragmatic sense. They have been offered and allows PAF to implement a strategy of acquiring war time emergency numbers from China (ala F-7s) to augment their force during a crisis.
4. If they are in fact in Chengdu, then its for J-10s or J-20s. Or a third new type. There is no other logical explanation for this.
5. If both you are Khafee are correct, the logical conclusion is a third type. Since the PAF is not in the business of flying clean sheet experiments, the logical conclusion is that this third type is based on the J-10 or the J-20.
So, it follows that - the PAF is getting a new bird and this is either a J-10C, J-20 or a third new type.
