Rs400,000 electric car introduced in Pakistan for the first time

The problem with battery-powered electric vehicles is the time it takes to charge the battery. Google gives this answer :

There is another project called the QUANTiNO Car which uses what the company calls nanoFlowCell which is powered by "Bi-ION" liquid charge :

The above method provides refuel-and-go functionality just like petroleum-driven cars instead of the overnight-charging limit of the Tesla vehicles.

Not sure what the capacity is for homes in Pakistan.

That answer from Google is when used with the simple common thin wire 120v electrical wall outlet in the US. Most newer homes also have 240v outlets for high voltage items like electric clothes dryers. It can give you multiple times the charge. You really need a much heavier duty wire. Some Tesla owners buy a special Tesla charger that doesn’t plug into either of the outlets but is wired directly into the electrical box in your house where it comes in from the street. It gives you 44 miles per hour.

I would rather tear up Rs 400000 than buying this BS.

People have no idea how much they are being charged for shits that have no market value in the world. The just want to see something below the already established unjustified high rates. “are waah, 4 lak ki hai ye gari, mujhe nai fark parhta ye gari kia hai but 4 lak, wow”

Most of that 4 lakh will anyway get converted to USD and then go to China (where this thing no doubt originates)....adding to existing BoP problem in Pakistan.

All because Pakistan refuses to reform and invest in actual real capacity+value added for itself. Whole concept seems to have taken a real psychological beating for a few decades now.

Most simply have no idea about it.

1. How big are the turbines / tower ??

2. Is it costly to install the turbines / tower ??

3. How's the experience ??
Well depends, i constructed everything myself except for the turbine; it is a 10m tower. We have plenty of water mills for drawing water. It is going now for over 10 plus years no issues; i may put up another 1 later.

electric cars have bright future, recently u.k and chinese experts claim that they jointly developed a capacitor which can hold 10 times more electric charge as compared to those currently available, these capacitors can be used in electric batteries once they become available for commercial use in future which will greatly improve battery life and fast charging of electric car batteries

Government should introduce a program to replace petrol /gas rickshaw with these beautiful modern machines running on electricity at once to reduce noise pollution

Get Rid of ugly chingchee , and rickshaw and give the drivers these vehicles under a Employment program

.
Good initiative.

They should make it looks less ugly. Seriously , us pakistania never care about presentation at all.

Electricity has become so expensive as well. So how does it relate to petrol.prices now ? Many times we don't have electricity. How will we cope with this

I keep thinking electric bike can be way much better than cars. They havr smaller battery Just like we have here in Belgium and Netherland. We have good weather in Pakistan. People will love it. Less accidents and better health.
Motorists will need to be taught how to respect cyclists.

For the car yeah but for the bike and rickshaw not really as Pakistan has achieved a respectable localization for small bikes and rickshaws

Good cars have to get cheaper for electric vehicles to really take off the market is ready for it as oil continues to be a catalyst for chaos

I will agree to your statement as regards the QUANTiNO car I referred to earlier, but about Tesla cars and its likes, even if they become cheaper they will have the disability of taking hours to charge-up to be driven anywhere in practical terms.

QUANTiNO is refuel-and-go, Tesla is not.

Any pictures from the factories for these or financial statements from the companies involved so we can get idea of what the actual value addition that takes place in Pakistan is?

I find as soon as you hold feet to the fire, the evidence for "localisation" drops significantly in many cases in the region at large....depending on sector.

We are ok in bike and ricksgaw department though entry of new car brands is a bit problematic

charging has always been the headache.

My entire home and farm; we are off the grid; around 4-10kw generation between a solar and wind combination. I use 10x28v commercial truck batteries pile to run the inverters.

Good deal. You are a very welcome guest on PDF.

Bro like these are good starts and all, but it just seems purely final tier assembly stuff. Most of the value is added in China by far still I would say.

Looking up Sazgar engineering for example, it has market cap of about 32 million USD in PSX.

Generally to get the proper meatiest value add your market cap has to be far higher and company needs to be investing constantly in large capital and capacity....be it conventional or EV.

These can only happen at scale if Pakistan genuinely develops a sound domestic auto parts industry (that dont really make brochures and promo vids that much, but you see in the industry scale in the end) so assemblers have competitive local sources and also margins they can use for their assembly scale, shop floor efficiecny, logistics, warehousing and RnD etc.

Certain cartels/bureaucracy are preventing this from happening + gestating is what I have heard.
