Let hope the project will be completed by 2017 and Chenab Bridge by 2015 after they completed Banihal Rail tunnel in time. Out of 90Km Rail Track between Katra and Laole only 6km will be rail line laid on normal land and otherwise remaining section with be Bridge or Tunnel. More challenging than Konkan Railway project.

We should keep investing in infrastructural projects in Jammu&kashmir as it will create more employment and better railways will also help in swift deployment of logistics .......i mean civilians and there luggage

Surely it will create a boom, during Peak tourism season during summer in May-June, all flight tickets between Delhi and Srinagar is skyrocketing like 12-13 Thousand rupees. Rail Line surely bring more tourist to Kashmir and it think rail ticket would be about 300-400 rupees from Delhi to Srinagar.

Railway has also planned to electrify Whole route till Baramulla. Right now ,the Phase I Electrification up to Jammu Tawi is going on.
