Additional Chief Secretary Home Department says this incident is suspicious and investigation will be carried out.

KARACHI: Two believed to be involved in the Pirabad blast escaped from the Karachi City Court on Saturday, Express News reported.

The prisoners were brought to the court amidst tight security for an identification parade, where a witness identified them as the criminals involved in the blast.

After the hearing was adjourned, the prisoners managed to flee easily while the CID police officials were taking them back to the jail.

Even the court security failed to stop them.

Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Muhammad Waseem said that this incident of prisoners escaping from City Court is suspicious and investigation will be carried out.

This is not the first case of its kind. Earlier on Thursday, three criminals involved in serious terrorism cases fled from a court lockup in Karachi.

Ammar, Arsalan and Zubair were brought to the Anti-Terrorism Court for a hearing and were kept in the lockup until the hearing commenced. However, they managed to cut open the bars of the small window in the lockup and escaped.

So what else is new. Perhaps the idea that it was easy may have more to do with that the people who were supposed to hold them may also have interests to let them go?
I mean if I am able to orchestrate and carry out bomb blasts.. surely I can also get to a person's family and threaten them directly.. or perhaps simply meet an individual(s) greed and offer them money. Karachi is like Chicago of the 1930's.. except there are no "untouchables" around here.. everyone can be touched one way or the other.

. . .
Terrorist will be brought to justice and then released or escape which ever comes first. :omghaha:

They weren't brought for trial, they were probably brought to identify the witnesses.

.
its routine now this is the third escape during this week , i think the jail guards want to get paid

KARACHI: A court in Karachi awarded two-day physical remand of six CID officers for investigation into the escape of two terror suspects from the city court premises, Express News reported on Sunday.

On July 13, the two suspects believed to be involved in the Pirabad blast escaped from the Karachi City Court. The prisoners were brought to the court amidst tight security for an identification parade, where a witness identified them as the criminals involved in the blast.

After the hearing was adjourned, the prisoners had managed to flee easily while the CID police officials were taking them back to the jail.

A case was registered against the officers for their negligence. The officers include two inspectors and six constables.

Two of the CID officers – Islam Gul and Hamidullah Niazi – admitted before the court that the escape was a direct result of the officers’ neglect.

The court has asked the police to investigate the matter.

^^ Admittance to negligence means they'll be back on duty in a couple of weeks.
