'Roof of the World' rebels against Pakistan

.
Pakistan should hold a plebiscite & integrate GB as 5th province. The demand to become 5th province is massive over there...saw that on various shows including Hamid Mir's "Capital Talk".

When there is final plebiscite in entire Kashmir, this part's % would be counted too in favor of Pakistan.

its already a province (thanks to Zardari) GB got a pseudo province status as of now, since President used his prerogative powers.

Now the problem, THE ******* PROBLEM is that a Sheikhpuria lootera Barjis Tahir an MNA from pmln is the minister GB affairs from federal who gets all the funds for GB.. so unless we get the bill passed in NA and Senate, the GB wont become a functioning province and this low life minister will continue to manipulate.. how ridiculous that GB gets to rule by a guy from sheikhupura.

Read DESERT FIGHTER'S post # 2.

You guys please decide if GB is part of J&K or not!

The fact is that Pakistan does not want to integrate GB into a state of Pakistan because in case there is ever a plebiscite (Which is out f the question), they would want the people to take part in the plebiscite too!

But GB can never ever become a state of Pakistan because there will never be a plebiscite! So the status quo will continue till the end of time.

GB historically was never a part of Kashmir. @DESERT FIGHTER 's post is 100% correct as GB's people fought against British, DOG ra's & Indians & ceded their territory to Pakistan. Even today their demand is to make them 5th province as they don't see their territory as part of Kashmir dispute.

Gilgit is not disputed. It is Part of Pakistan.

Clearly UN does, so tell us who is who is wrong.

And If it is the UN, maybe they are wrong about other things also. ie Kashmir being a disputed territory at all??!!

Read my post again if you have comprehension issues. I never said anything about UN. UN does include GB as part of dispute but the fact is that GB historically was never part of Kashmir. Britishers gifted that territory to DOG ra. These GB people fought British & then DOG ra's & Indians to merge with Pakistan. That area has strong demand to declare their territory as 5th province & they do not see their territory as part of Kashmir dispute.

Semantics are irrelevant, fact of the matter is any attempt by Pakistan to declare GB, a part of Pakistan, will nullify the entire Pakistani argument on Kashmir..which it self has no legal legs to stand on but stands on UN resolutions.

GB and AJK should be made into two provinces.
Gilgit is not disputed. It is Part of Pakistan.
according to the U.N yes it is a territory of the Kashmir dispute. therefore its disputed.
its not about how the local there view it, what's important is that the U.N views it as part of the Kashmir dispute. therefore granting it provincial status, irrespective of the locals wanting it or not' would render the case of Pakistan with regards to the Kashmir dispute invalid. even India rules its part of Jammu & Kashmir under an special status act of Article 360, beit Kashmir valley or Jammu , laddak or leh, all of it is governed by this special status . so, if Pakistan gives provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan, then India can retaliate by removing article 360 & giving full provincial status to its part of Jammu & Kashmir, thus rendering the U.N designation of disputed territory status ineffective

It was the Pakistani leader stupidity tht they included GB into the Kashmir dispute thinking tht by referendum the majority will in any way choose Pakistan ..all in all GB was/is not a part of Kashmir .. GB itself was composed of several small states like the Emirate of Hunza,Emirate of Shigar and so on...
